UK Court Issues Formal Order to Extradite WikiLeaks’ Assange to the U.S.

A United Kingdom court on Wednesday issued a formal order to extradite WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to the United States to stand trial over the publication of national secrets pertaining to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The final decision now rests in the hands of U.K. Interior Minister Priti Patel. However, Assange’s legal team will still have the opportunity to appeal any decision within 14 days.

Last month, Assange was denied permission to appeal to the U.K. Supreme Court against actions to extradite him to the United States, where a conviction could mean a lifetime prison sentence.

In the U.S., Assange would face trial in connection to the 500,000 secret military files he leaked to the public relating to the actions of the United States in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Early last year, Assange successfully argued that he was a suicide risk who could not be kept in solitary confinement at a maximum security facility in America.

The U.S. government, however, appealed the reprieve and made assurances that Assange would not be held in isolation at a federal supermax facility.

Assange has since unsuccessfully attempted to appeal the most recent ruling, but the British court denied the appeal application on the grounds that it “didn’t raise any arguable point of law.”

Buckingham Palace says Queen Elizabeth II has tested positive for COVID-19 and is experiencing mild, cold-like symptoms.

Palace officials said Sunday that the 95-year-old British monarch will continue with light duties.

“She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines,” the palace explained in a statement quoted by the BBC.

The Queen has received three jabs of coronavirus vaccine.

Both her eldest son Prince Charles, with whom she has been in contact, and daughter-in-law Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, have also recently been infected.

Amid Ukraine Tension, US Deploys Nuclear-Ready B-52 Bombers to UK

Despite repeated warnings from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the U.S. is driving the rise of tensions at Ukraine’s eastern border, the U.S. Air Force has deployed four B-52 bombers with nuclear capabilities to the U.K., where one official acknowledged that the deployment is at least partially connected to Russia’s recent military activities.

Two B-52 Stratofortress aircrafts arrived at Royal Air Force Fairford on Thursday, with two more following. The bombers integrated with other NATO members’ forces en route to Fairford, according to the Air Force, including “British Typhoon aircraft and Portuguese F-16s currently assigned to NATO’s Icelandic Air Policing mission.”

The U.S. military downplayed the deployment, saying it was a “long-planned Bomber Task Force mission,” but one U.K. defense source told The Telegraph, “Is this aligned to current tensions? Yes and no.”

According to The Telegraph, a former British intelligence official noted that the Pentagon could launch air strikes from Fairford as it has before.

“From Fairford they could operate against a range of targets: troop concentrations in southern Russia and Belarus, Moscow/St. Petersburg, even the naval bases in the White Sea,” the former official told the outlet. “In 1991 they hit Baghdad from Fairford, flew on to Diego Garcia, refueled and rearmed, bombed Baghdad again on the way back, and returned to Fairford.”

The bombers sent from Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota are capable of carrying precision-guided and nuclear weapons.

As the bombers arrived in the U.K., President Joe Biden warned in an interview with NBC News that American citizens in Ukraine and Russia should leave immediately while the U.S. State Department issued a notice that it would not be able to evacuate Americans in the event of military action by Russia.

“We’re dealing with one of the largest armies in the world,” Biden told Lester Holt. “Things could go crazy quickly.”

“That’s a world war when Americans and Russia start shooting at one another,” the president added.

The U.S. has claimed Russia is poised to potentially launch an invasion of Ukraine, with tanks reaching Kyiv within 48 hours of beginning an attack at the border.

Russia’s military has been conducting exercises near the border for two days after having assembled troops there in recent months. Russian officials deny having plans to attack Ukraine and have called on the U.S. to guarantee that Ukraine, a former Soviet state, will not be permitted to join NATO and for the alliance to withdraw troops from Eastern European countries, as well as other security assurances. The U.S. has rejected those demands.

In addition to the B-52 bombers, the U.S. is deploying 1,700 troops to Poland, while British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace arrived in Moscow Friday for diplomatic talks.

In discussions with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Thursday, British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss called on Russian to pull back its military presence at the Ukrainian border and de-escalate the situation.

“You first have to prove to me that we are the ones who created this tense situation,” Lavrov said. “The West is trying to make a tragedy out of this, while, increasingly, it’s similar to a comedy.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters Friday that negotiations with the West are ongoing and that he will speak with French President Emmanuel Macron in the coming days for further diplomatic talks.

Boris Johnson Scraps COVID Mandates in England: ‘We Will Trust The Judgment of the British People’

January 19, 2022

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is scrapping COVID mandates.

As of Thursday, students are no longer required to wear masks in classrooms.

On January 27, face masks will no longer be mandatory in any school or anywhere in England and vaccine passports will no longer be required to attend large events. The government will instead “recommend” face coverings in enclosed spaces but leave people with a choice on whether to wear them.

The government will also abandon its COVID pass requirement and no longer force people to present proof of vaccination to enter public venues.

“In the country at large, we will continue to suggest the use of face coverings in enclosed or crowded spaces, particularly when you come into contact with people you don’t normally meet, but we will trust the judgment of the British people and no longer criminalize anyone who chooses not to wear one,” Johnson told parliament on Wednesday.

The British prime minister also rescinded the government’s work-from-home requirement which has been in effect since December 13. England will begin treating Covid like the flu, Johnson explained.

“There will soon come a time when we can remove the legal requirement to self-isolate altogether, just as we don’t place legal obligations on people to isolate if they have flu,” Johnson said. “As Covid becomes endemic, we will need to replace legal requirements with advice and guidance, urging people with the virus to be careful and considerate of others.”

The British head of state maintains Covid restrictions are no longer mandatory because government scientists claim the surge of infections prompted by the omicron variant “has now peaked nationally” and more than 90 percent of those over 60 in the UK have received at least three doses of the Covid vaccine or booster shot.

UK Government Greases Skids For Fleets Of Surveillance Drones Over Cities

By Paul Joseph Watson

In what appears to be a cynical PR stunt, the UK government is considering plans to allow women who feel threatened on the street to call upon surveillance drones that would arrive in minutes and shine a bright light on any potential attacker.

What could possibly go wrong?

“Women in fear of an attack will be able to use a phone app to summon a drone, which could arrive within minutes armed with a powerful spotlight and thermal cameras to frighten off any potential assailant,” reports the Telegraph.

Trials will take place on campus at Nottingham University at a cost of £500,000 during which the tech will be used to “protect students and staff.”

The scheme will be submitted to the UK government’s Innovate research program, and could eventually see helicopters being replaced by drones as a front line tool of law enforcement.

“It is a high capability drone that costs just £100 an hour but can do 80 percent of what a police helicopter can do,” said Richard Gill, the founder of Drone Defence.

“It cannot do high speed pursuits but it can do the other tasks such as searching for people and ground surveillance.”

Gill noted that 25 drones could do the job of one police helicopter in London for the same price, with the drones being housed at five base locations across the city.

The idea of countless government drones whizzing around a city keeping tabs on people is garishly dystopian.

Allowing individuals to access the drones would also be completely open to abuse and misuse.

Innumerable people would make a mockery of the system by constantly calling upon the drones to harass random people or use the drones for target practice.

A far more effective means of preventing such attacks would be to allow women to be armed with pepper spray, but current law in the UK makes that illegal.

Changing the law would give women the power to defend themselves while avoiding the dystopian nightmare that state surveillance drones would bring.

The idea of giving women who feel threatened the power to summon drones is patently a cynical PR stunt to acclimatize the public into accepting the general introduction of drones as a tool of mass surveillance.

Police Scotland Operation Sees 24 Arrests over Human Trafficking

Staff Writer,
September 9th, 2020

A total of 24 arrests have been made after a Police Scotland-led operation targeting human trafficking.

Raids were carried out at four premises in Aberdeen and Glasgow, five in England and 23 in Romania.

Ten people were arrested in the UK in connection with offences related to serious and organised crime and human trafficking, with the remaining 14 being held by Romanian police.

A number of potential trafficking victims were also found.

The cross-border operation was carried out in the early hours of Wednesday.

Officers from Police Scotland’s National Human Trafficking Unit worked with the National Crime Agency (NCA) and Romanian Police’s Directorate for Countering Organized Crime / Trafficking in Human Beings Department.

‘No place in Scotland’

Officers from Leicestershire, West Midlands and Northamptonshire police forces were also involved.

The premises targeted in England were in Leicester, Coventry and Northampton.

Det Insp Adrian Wallis, who led the operation, said it followed a “lengthy investigation”.

He said: “The arrests are the result of working closely with our partners in the NCA and officers in Romania over the last 12 months, to identify those involved in this exploitation.

“The investigation isn’t over yet, however, today’s action should send a very clear message: trafficking won’t be tolerated, and we will continue to work with partners, nationally and internationally, to identify those involved in slavery and exploitation and to bring them to justice.”

Det Supt Fil Capaldi, head of Police Scotland’s National Human Trafficking Unit, added: “Human trafficking, exploitation and modern slavery has no place in Scotland.”

Jimmy Savile Elite Paedophile Ring Exposed

August 31, 2020

Jimmy Savile was at the centre of this pedophile ring that procured children for well-known figures in the British establishment including former Prime Minister, paedophile and murderer Edward Heath.

The police and mainstream media are trying to muddy the waters by focusing only on the low-level non-entity pedos like Gary Glitter who we already know about.

The media doesn’t seem to want to go after the wider network that includes major politicians and “lords” who are clearly in it up to their necks.

Jimmy Savile Elite Paedophile Ring Exposed

At least we can rely on the alternative media to expose some of the big names who are involved in the child trafficking industry.

The Jimmy Savile thing will continue to haunt the BBC for the rest of their days.

Over the next few months I’m sure that the BBC will find that a significant number of people are refusing to re-new their TV licence.

A big reduction in profits will certainly make them sit up and take notice.
