Biden and Trump Received Millions from Big Firms That Received PPP Loans Meant for Small Businesses

July 24, 2020

Individuals working for big law firms and corporations that received Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans meant for small businesses pumped nearly $2 million into former Vice-President Joe Biden’s presidential campaign.

President Donald Trump also benefitted from such contributions, counting more than $1.5 million, according to a July 23 analysis of Small Business Administration (SBA) and federal campaign finance data by opensecrets.org.

“Vital Pharmaceuticals, the company behind Bang Energy drink, got a PPP loan worth at least $5 million in early April as the program doled out its first batch of loans. Last year the company gave $250,000 in corporate money to Trump’s preferred super PAC, America First Action,” opensecrets.org said.

The biggest single chunk of Biden’s haul came from individuals associated with a Florida trial lawyer firm.

“Biden is boosted by Morgan & Morgan, a Florida personal injury law firm whose employees gave $437,000 to his campaign. The firm’s founder hosted an extravagant fundraiser for the former vice president during the early days of his White House bid,” opensecrets.org said.

“Morgan & Morgan, which says it employs more than 500 experienced lawyers, pulled in several PPP loans meant for struggling small businesses. Its Tampa location received a loan worth at least $5 million while its Fort Myers and Jacksonville locations each received loans worth at least $2 million,” the opensecrets.org analysis reported.

Two other trial lawyer firms that got PPP loans and provided large contributions to Democrats were singled out by the opensecrets.org analysis.

“Top lawyers at another Texas-based firm, Baron & Budd, held a fundraiser for Biden last year, and the company’s employees gave $250,000 to Democrats. It received a loan worth at least $2 million,” according to the analysis.

“Another PPP loan of at least $350,000 went to New York personal injury law firm Kramer Dillof Livingston & Moore. Late last year, the firm gave $100,000 from its corporate reserves to Unite the Country, the only super PAC supporting Biden’s presidential bid at the time,” the analysis said.

The big contributions by such firms highlight the fact that congressional Democrats are battling Republicans who seek increased personal liability protections for medical professionals and workers caring for victims of the CCP Virus, also known as the novel coronavirus.

Senate Republicans insist such protection must be included in the new economic recovery bill being negotiated this week on Capitol Hill, but Democrats warn that such a provision would be a deal-killer.

Despite Trump receiving less than Biden from the firms getting PPP money, Republican campaign committees got multiple millions of dollars from individuals linked to those businesses.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) tallied slightly more than $5 million, while the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) received more than $2.5 million. A total of $1.75 million went to the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).

Other notable contributions spotlighted by the opensecrets.org analysis included money going to groups backing candidates and causes of both major political parties.

“The Center for Popular Democracy contributed $113,000 in nonprofit funds to New Florida Majority, a PAC that supported Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) in the Democratic primary,” the analysis said.

“New Orleans transportation company Harvey Gulf International Marine—backed by a loan of more than $5 million—gave $100,000 in corporate funds to Make Louisiana Great Again, a super PAC supporting area Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.),” it said.

The $670 billion PPP program was a Trump initiative for helping Main Street businesses retain as many employees on their payrolls as possible during the national lockdown that began in mid-March and continues today at varying degrees of intensity around the country.

“While many small businesses waited on loans during the program’s rollout, larger companies with access to big banks got loans first,” opensecrets.org said.

“Powerful lobbying firms, hedge funds and real estate companies received aid while tens of thousands of small businesses closed for good.”

Toronto Public Health Confirms: People Who Don’t Die From COVID-19 Are Still Added To The Death Count

Arjun Walia
July 16th, 2020

  • The Facts: Toronto Public Health tweeted in late June that “Individuals who have died with COVID-19, but not as a result of COVID-19, are included in the case counts for COVID-19 deaths in Toronto.”
  • Reflect On: Why are people who have not died as a result of COVID-19 being included in the official death count?

What Happened: A common theme during this pandemic is the fact that public, provincial, state and federal health regulatory agencies have been, since the beginning of this pandemic, adding to the death count people who actually didn’t die as a result of Covid-19. Toronto Public Health recently did the same, last month tweeting that “Individuals who have died with Covid-19, but not as a result of COVID-19 are included in the case counts for COVID-19 deaths in Toronto.” (source)

This means that people are being added to the COVID death count who really didn’t die of COVID. This would logically inflate the number of deaths from what they actually are, thus driving the true infection mortality rate even lower than what it’s already at. That being said, multiple mainstream media articles have suggested that there are also concerns that some deaths that have been a result of Covid-19 have been missed during this pandemic.

According to
Factcheck.org, “One Facebook user has claimed the opposite, erroneously suggesting the count is being inflated by unrelated deaths, and copies of that claim have gone viral on the social media platform” and the idea that deaths are being miscalculated and in the opposite direction of what mainstream media is claiming, is false.

But these fact-checking organizations are quickly gaining a bad reputation. There are multiple instances where organizations like this will simply label something as false without actually conducting an appropriate investigation. For example, they didn’t acknowledge that experts and public health authorities are actually admitting to the possibility that the death count is inflated.

There are a number of examples beyond the one that came from Toronto late last month. Dr. Ngozi Ezike, Director of the Illinois Department of Public Health,  pointed out that all people who pass away and test positive for COVID-19, regardless of the cause of death, means that the death will be marked as a COVID-19 death.

She stated that,

If you were in hospice and had already been given a few weeks to live and then you were also found to have COVID, that would be counted as  COVID death, despite if you died of a clear alternative cause it’s still listed as a COVID death. So, everyone who is listed as a COVID death that doesn’t mean that was the cause of the death, but they had COVID at the time of death. (source)

Colorado health authorities recently admitted to doing the same thing, you can read more about that here.

Vittorio Sgarbi, Italian politician Mayor of Sutri, gave an emotional speech at a hearing on the 24th of April where he emphasized that the number of deaths in Italy due to COVID-19 are completely false and that the people are being lied to. You can watch that and read more about it here.

The point is, this has been a common theme throughout the pandemic.

Another strange finding is that The Bulgarian Pathology Association has taken the stance that the testing used to identify the new coronavirus in patients is “scientifically meaningless.” They cite an article explaining the science. You can read more about that here.

It’s also reasonable to consider that in some cases, Covid may have contributed to a death but may not have been the cause, as some underlying conditions might have also played a role. This has been a common theme as well.

Why This Matters: This information is important because it highlights that the measures we are being mandated & forced to take are being done using flawed data to justify it. What also has more people concerned is that the opinions and research of many doctors and scientists around the world, some of them quite renowned, are being banned and censored from social media platforms for simply contradicting the information given to us by the World Health Organization (WHO). Why are people like Julian Assange really in jail? Why are people exposing war crimes and other misdoings within the WHO, as Assange has, punished, and the ones committing the actual crimes are the ones we identify with? Should we not have the right to examine information openly and freely, and determine for ourselves what is and what isn’t? A common theme with regards to this pandemic seems to be using fear and hysteria to make the threat seem much greater than it actually is, and then to propose the solution. Perhaps Edward Snowden was right when he said that governments are using the coronavirus to take away more of our rights and freedoms, and they won’t come back, just as they didn’t come back after 9/11.

The Takeaway

At the end of the day, not everything we are made to believe is true. We’ve gone through this with DTT, Glyphosate, Tobacco and much more. Given the fact that scientists themselves from within these federal health regulatory agencies are deeply concerned about outside influences, and again, with so many examples, we have to ask ourselves if we can really put our trust in these agencies anymore. We constantly obey, we constantly listen, and we constantly follow mandates. Mandates, in this case, should not be mandates, they should be recommendations. Don’t be afraid to think for yourself with regard to many global events, as our perception of them is heavily manipulated.

George Soros Donates $220 Million to Radical BLM Groups Including Movement to “End Policing as We Know It”

Jim Hoft
July 13th, 2020

This is not the first time Soros has donated to black lives matter. In August 2016 the mysterious “DC Leaks” website posted hacked documents from George Soros’s Open Society.

The documents included information on operations in Latin America, Eurasia, Asia, the US, Europe and the World Bank.

One document revealed Soros paid $650,000 to the Black Lives Matter movement.

The Washington Times accused Soros of giving at least $33 million in one year to the far left groups that emboldened black lives matter activists.

During the Ferguson riots a Soros-linked organization MORE (Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment) and OBS (Organization for Black Struggle) advertised for paid protesters in Ferguson.

And in May 2015 a list of over 80 groups and individuals was posted on Twitter of the paid Ferguson protesters.

This is a friendly reminder on who was funding these violent movements.

On Monday the Soros Open Society announced another $220 million in donations to radical groups in black communities.

MSN reported:

Open Society Foundation, the philanthropic organization founded by billionaire George Soros, is investing $220 million in emerging organizations and leaders building power in Black communities across the U.S.

The largest share for the investment, $150 million, will be through a set of five-year grants to Black-led organizations focused on racial equality, the organization announced Monday.

“It is inspiring and powerful to experience this transformational moment in the racial justice movement,” Open Society Foundations’ President Patrick Gaspard said in a statement. “We are honored to be able to carry on the vital work of fighting for rights, dignity, and equity for oppressed people the world over started by our founder and chair, George Soros.”

Some of the organizations receiving the grants are fighting for expanding voting rights, while others are fighting for police reform. Recipients of this set of investments include Black Voters Matter, Circle for Justice Innovations, Repairers of the Breach and the Equal Justice Initiative, according to Open Society Foundations.

In addition to the five-year grants, Open Society Foundations said it is also making a series of investments totaling $70 million in “more immediate efforts to advance racial justice.”

Washington State Politician Jonathan Lopez Admits Sending Himself Racist Hate Mail and Violating Stolen Valor Act

Jim Hoft
July 8th, 2020

Umatilla County commissioner candidate Jonathan Lopez admitted this week he faked the hate mail he posted on his facebook page. Lopez posted the hateful letter filled with racist, homophobic and misogynist slurs. And Lopez said he served in the US Coast Guard. It was another lie and violation of the Stolen Valor Act.

KOMO News reported:

A man who claimed he received a hate-filled, racist letter from an anonymous person allegedly wrote the letter himself, Hermiston Police say.

Chief Jason Edmiston tells KEPR-TV News that the criminal investigation for second-degree intimidation due to the racist, hate-filled letter received by Jonathan Lopez on June 23 has been closed. The matter will be referred this week to the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office for initiating a false report – a Class A misdemeanor in Oregon.

Edmiston says the investigation has shown that Jonathan Lopez wrote the letter himself and made false statements to the police and on social media. The end result is a verbal and written admission by Lopez that the letter was fabricated.

Additionally, the Hermiston Police are sending the Office of the District Attorney verifiable information of potential election fraud as it pertains to the Stolen Valor Act of 2013 and other false credentials presented by Mr. Lopez during his run for county commissioner. This in conjunction with a lengthy criminal history record may result in the filing of additional charges.

Senate Democrats Block Republican Police Reform Bill

June 24, 2020

Democrats in the Senate blocked a Republican-backed police reform bill from advancing to the floor, calling for talks on how to overhaul policing after protests, riots, and unrest following George Floyd’s death in police custody.

The bill, backed by Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.), didn’t gather the 60 votes necessary to move forward for debate, failing by a 55-45 margin.

“If you don’t think we’re right, make it better. Don’t walk way,” Scott said before the vote. “Vote for the motion to proceed so that we have an opportunity to deal with this very real threat to the America that is civil, that is balanced.”

Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), Doug Jones (D-Ala.), and Angus King (I-Maine) voted with Republicans to advance the bill.

Scott’s bill would increase transparency in departments by providing incentives for them to use body cameras and ban chokeholds by withholding grant money. Some Democrats have said that an end to qualified immunity for police officers should be included in the bill. Qualified immunity is a legal doctrine that shields police officers from civil lawsuits.

The bill would also create a national database of police use-of-force incidents and create new training procedures and commissions to study race and law enforcement.

Some GOP senators said that blocking the measure would lower the chances of a bipartisan deal being struck.

“There’s literally no harm done by debating this important topic,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said at his weekly news conference on Tuesday. “They don’t want a debate, they don’t want amendments, they’ll filibuster police reform from even reaching the floor of the Senate unless the majority lets the minority rewrite the bill behind closed doors in advance,” he said.

Following the block, “There probably is no path forward in this Congress if they block debate,” Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) told reporters.

The House is set to approve the Democrats’ bill later this week. The two bills, the House and Senate versions, would ultimately need to be the same to become law.

“If you present a bill, as Republicans have here in the Senate, that does nothing on accountability and say they are solving or dealing with the problem in even close to an adequate way, they are sadly mistaken,” said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).

Even though Democrats have argued that their proposals take more serious reform steps than Republicans’ proposal, it falls short from cries to “defund the police” or redirect money to social services.

‘Africans Are Not Children’: Democrats Face Backlash From Black Voices Over Political Stunt

Ryan Saavedra,
June, 9th 2020

Democrats faced intense backlash on Monday over a political stunt that they pulled in an attempt to show solidarity with the black community over death of George Floyd.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY), and other top Democrats took at knee at Capitol Hill while wearing Kente cloth, which, as noted by The Washington Post, “comes from Ghana, where people wear it to show patriotism or celebrate a special occasion.”

The photo-op moment for Democrats quickly went viral online — but not in a good way, as numerous people from the black community mocked and criticized Democrats for their political stunt.

Army combat veteran Jeffrey A Dove Jr., a Republican running in Virginia’s 10th Congressional District, responded: “Does wearing kente cloth and taking a knee mean you are all of a sudden ‘down with the struggle’? This is why people hate disingenuous politicians. Speaker Pelosi was there for the 94 crime bill. She is part of the problem.”

Washington Post Global Opinions Editor Karen Attiah responded: “I look at this and think, who is the audience for this performance? Why was this necessary?”

Pro-life advocate Obianuju Ekeocha released a video on Twitter condemning the Democrats for “ignorantly using the Kente fabric as a prop in their virtue signaling.”

“I was just looking online today like most of you and what did I see? A bunch of Democrat politicians kneeling down, of which I have nothing to say about that because I am not an American, however, they were all having around their necks this colorful fabric which I’m sure they put around their necks as some kind of mark or show of unity or solidarity with black people,” Ekeocha said. “So, in other words, they put in for the Kente material or this colorful fabric they had around their necks as some kind of placating sign or symbol to show that they are not racist and they are together with black people.”

“Excuse me, dear Democrats, in your tokenism, you didn’t wait to find out that this thing that you’re hanging around your neck is not just some African uniform, it’s actually the Kente material,” Ekeocha continued. “The Kente belongs to the Ghanaian people, mainly the Ashanti Tribe. Excuse me, Democrats. Don’t treat Africans like we’re children. These fabrics and these colorful things that we have within our culture and tradition, they all mean something to us. I know you look at us and you say, ‘oh Africans are so cute in all your colorful dresses.’”

“Well, some of those dresses and patterns and colors and fabrics actually do mean something to us,” Ekeocha added. “Some of them belong to ancient tribes and mean something to them. So why are you using it your own show of non-racism or your own show of virtue? Why are you using the Kente material to signal your virtue? Stop it. We are not children. Africans are not children. And leave our tradition and our culture to us and if you don’t know much about it, ask somebody. I’m sure there would have been something else you could have done to show your solidarity with black people instead of taking the Kente material and making a little show of it.”

“I know we are in unexpected times and anything is possible but listen man I did not have ‘Pelosi in Kente cloth’ on the bingo card,” GEN editor Hanif Abdurraqib wrote. “I was so certain that picture wasn’t real at first that I didn’t even bother to look for proof in either direction. I just mumbled ‘damn people on here are getting real good at photoshop’ and kept moving along.”

Left-wing writer Roxane Gay wrote: “I am not sure what’s funnier, those ridiculous politicians wearing kente cloth or Cory Booker smartly opting out of that absurd performance.”

Another commentator wrote: “I’m Black and I don’t even own that thing on their necks that supposedly represents Blackness. Also, I hate how Democrats always pretend that they have never had a chance to fix USA when they’ve been in government too.”

Dem Operative Goes Dark as MI Lawmakers Question Coronavirus Contract

Collin Anderson,
April 23rd, 2020

The Democratic operative who was awarded a coronavirus-related contract by Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer’s administration has deleted his website and removed identifying information from social media platforms.

Democratic consultant Mike Kolehouse scrubbed his online presence as state lawmakers push for oversight into Whitmer’s handling of the pandemic, voicing concerns about hiring political operatives to run a public health project. GOP state representative Shane Hernandez sent Whitmer a letter Tuesday demanding answers on the contract. House speaker Lee Chatfield said the legislature would convene Friday to create an oversight committee examining the state’s coronavirus response.

On Tuesday the Whitmer administration terminated a door-to-door pandemic tracing contract awarded to Great Lakes Community Engagement, an organization led by Kolehouse, just one day after its announcement. Within 24 hours of the cancellation, Kolehouse, who was set to take in nearly $200,000 in the deal, took down the website for his consulting firm, K2K strategies, as well as his Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn accounts. He did not return multiple requests for comment from the Washington Free Beacon and declined to answer questions about the contract, which would have tasked him with collecting sensitive health data, from the Washington Post and Crain’s Detroit.

The oversight effort could spell trouble for Whitmer, who in March emerged as a potential running mate to presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden. She has faced intense criticism in recent weeks over a far-reaching stay-at-home order that hurts small businesses. The governor blamed the controversial contract on the state’s health department and denied any involvement in the deal at a Wednesday press briefing. Hernandez said the public deserves a thorough explanation of how the state awarded a lucrative contract to Whitmer’s campaign consultants.

“If the governor thinks that canceling the contract means we’re not going to pursue the questions I asked, that’s not going to happen. We deserve to know how this contract came about,” Hernandez told the Free Beacon. “We also need to conduct oversight in the legislature to make sure there aren’t other contracts going out that are political in nature.”

Whitmer’s office did not respond to a request for comment.

State filings show that Kolehouse registered his consulting firm, K2K Consulting, in 2012. Both Great Lakes Community Engagement and Kolehouse Strategies are licensed as assumed names of the firm and were created in 2017 and 2019, respectively. Kolehouse has earned more than $750,000 working for Democratic campaigns and liberal ballot initiatives since 2017. More than $570,000 came from Fair and Equal Michigan, an LGBTQ advocacy group. Other clients include the Michigan Senate Democratic Fund and Shri Thanedar, who ran an unsuccessful gubernatorial bid in 2018.

Kolehouse has repeatedly criticized President Donald Trump on social media. In late March he said, “I hope he gets Coronavirus ASAP” and “can someone do the country a favor and cough on that man.” Kolehouse was pictured with former president Bill Clinton at a 2016 Hillary Clinton fundraiser in Grand Rapids.

In an interview with the Free Beacon, Hernandez said the administration could have easily found a nonpartisan data firm capable of performing tracking work.

“I’ve been doing some digging and know that there are other vendors that could have done this, vendors that the state has used in the past that don’t have political ties,” he said. “We want to know: Did the state follow protocol, did they have a pre-approved list of vendors, and did they pick a vendor that was not on that list?”

A former official in Michigan Republican governor Rick Snyder’s administration told the Free Beacon that Snyder started a data storage contract with Microsoft that is still used by Whitmer today and could have been used in the contact tracing project.

“Microsoft CRM is used in the governor’s office for storing constituent correspondence and scheduling request correspondence,” the former official said. “Whitmer still uses the same system that Snyder started, which would have been in 2011 or 2012.” The official said the Michigan Economic Development Corporation uses Salesforce products for similar purposes—the states of Rhode Island and Massachusetts announced partnerships with Salesforce in contact tracing projects in early April.

While Whitmer called contact tracing “an essential part of how we’re going to save lives,” she said she was not aware of the state’s contract on the effort until after it was announced Monday, adding that she canceled it as soon as it was brought to her attention. The state began recruiting volunteers for the effort in late March, and Whitmer was credited with launching the effort by a Grand Rapids ABC affiliate on March 28.

The former Snyder official called Whitmer’s lack of awareness “abnormal,” saying the governor is likely discussing the state’s coronavirus response with administration officials multiple times daily.

“If it’s that big, surely she should have known how it was going to work. During the state of emergency for Flint, we had update calls with the governor every morning,” the official said. “PPE status, testing status, contact tracing status, those should have been discussed with her.”

The contract fiasco marks the latest unforced error by Whitmer, who has faced mounting criticism since presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden said she was on his shortlist for vice president in late March. Whitmer downplayed her chances of securing the nomination during a CNN appearance Thursday.

“I am honored to be included in a bigger conversation, but that’s not something that I’m promoting, it’s not something that I’m spending energy on,” Whitmer said. When asked if she would turn down the job if offered, she failed to answer, saying, “I’m going to continue to support him in any way that I can be helpful.”

UNW Weekly Report Dec. 1-7

By Ryan DeLarme
December 6th, 2019

As the public release of the IG report and FISA documents approach, the dire need for alternative or “Non-establishment” media is becoming more and more apparent. In what looks like an attempt to get ahead of the story and do damage control, Big tech media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube are all updating their terms of service policies in what could be seen as a strategic throttling of the free flow of information. In the future, if you post something that has been “debunked” by one of the big 6 media corporations and their “fact-checkers” they have the right to remove and demonetize your accounts, essentially ensuring that you are only creating or sharing content that the board members and shareholders approve of.

Starting this week the Underground Newswire will be putting out weekly reports and updates concerning the things we spend our time researching, including topics and opinions not commonly seen in the mainstream concerning the covert information war that has been raging for several years now (and appears to be reaching a boiling point).

The Impeachment inquiry drama continued to roll on this week, culminating in Nancy Pelosi announcing that Democrats will be drawing up articles of Impeachment, setting the stage for a full-chamber vote that could come just days before Christmas. Congress continues abusing its power to go after Trump, Nancy Pelosi attends a useless racketeering summit while her state burns to the ground.

While all this goes on, the Senate quietly passes more Federal Judges. This last week at least 5 new Judges have been appointed, keeping with the trend of recent weeks and bringing the total number to well past 160. Why would so many Judges need to be flipped? Well, the unprecedented number of sealed indictments hanging in limbo comes to mind.

Last month Senator Lindsay Graham announced that we will be seeing The IG report by December 11th. The IG report will examine whether the FBI violated surveillance laws or policies by obtaining a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant to look into Carter Page, a Trump campaign adviser, who drew scrutiny from the intelligence community for his ties to Moscow. According to sources in Military Intelligence, the IG report and the FISA report will be “Damning”. I suppose we will see next week, though many expect a sudden death (Jimmy Carter/RBG) may clog the news cycles.

Google Whistleblower Confirms They Use Algorithms To CENSOR: “Algorithms Don’t Write Themselves”

By Mac Slavo,
July 25th, 2019
Activist Post

EDITOR’S UPDATE: Project Veritas has learned that Greg Coppola has been placed on administrative leave by Google.

Senior Google software engineer, Greg Coppola, has dismissed the idea that Big Tech is “politically neutral” and called out his company as “very biased,” joining Project Veritas’ growing stable of whistleblowers.  Coppola said that Google has “merged” with the Democrat party.

“I’m very concerned to see Big Tech and Big Media merge basically with a political party, with the Democratic party,” Greg Coppola, a Googler since 2014 who works on the AI Google Assistant, toldProject Veritas. The real question Coppola posed is “Are we going to continue to think for ourselves or are we going to just let the biggest tech companies decide who wins every election from now on?” And according to a report by RT, Coppola says that he knows Google is attempting to manipulate public thought.

With decades of programming experience under his belt (he’s been coding since age 10, he said) Coppola wanted to inform the masses of his growing certainty about Google’s political slant.Algorithms “don’t write themselves – we write them to do what we want them to do,” he pointed out, explaining that even AI machine learning is “just a tool that we control.” Coppola chose Google News as an example to prove his point. Google News is a news aggregator that draws from “just a handful of sites, and all those sites are vitriolically against President Trump, which I really consider to be interference in the American election.”

Coppola says that Google began its censorship campaign and election meddling for the 2016 Presidential elections. The engineer explained that “the angle that the Democrats and the media took was that anyone who liked Donald Trump was a racist, even a Nazi, and that got picked up everywhere” – even Google. And even then, “most people’s jobs are not political and don’t involve politics.” But it only takes a few bad apples to spoil democracy for everyone.

I think it’s, you know, ridiculous to say that there’s no bias. I think everyone who supports anything other than the Democrats, anyone who’s pro-Trump or in any way deviates from what CNN and the New York Times are pushing, notices how bad it is. – Greg Coppola

The one real difference between the American press and the Soviet state newspaper Pravda was that the Russian people knew they were being lied to. To expose the lies our media tell us today, controversial journalist James O’Keefe created Project Veritas, an independent news organization whose reporters go where traditional journalists dare not. Their investigative work–equal parts James Bond, Mike Wallace, and Saul Alinsky―has had a consistent and powerful impact on its targets.

In American Pravda, the reader is invited to go undercover with these intrepid journalists as they infiltrate political campaigns, unmask dishonest officials and expose voter fraud. A rollicking adventure story on one level, the book also serves as a treatise on modern media, arguing that establishment journalists have a vested interest in keeping the powerful comfortable and the people misinformed. –American Pravda: My Fight for Truth in the Era of Fake News
