10 Lies Biden Told During His First Press Conference In Months

JORDAN BOYD
JANUARY 19, 2022

President Joe Biden hosted his second solo press conference ever on Wednesday but his attempts to clearly communicate how he plans to fix a country plagued with COVID-19, crime, rising prices, empty shelves, and more were nothing less of a disaster.

Not only did Biden, who was once heralded as the chief unifier of the country, use the presser to repeat rhetoric trashing Republicans, he also did his absolute best to put lipstick on the pig that is the struggling U.S. economy. Unfortunately, no amount of lipstick or whoppers can cover Biden’s terrible and devastating approval rating.

Biden concluded his initial speech by claiming that “the best days of this country are still ahead of us not behind us,” but his optimism is unfounded. Recent polling suggests that only 26 percent of Americans believe the country is headed in the right direction. The majority, however, are left wondering whether Biden will work to fix the myriad of crises he created.

Here are the 10 lies Biden told during his Wednesday press conference.

1. The Nation’s Problem Is COVID

“I know there’s a lot of frustration and fatigue in this country. And we know why: COVID-19, Omicron it has now been challenging us in a way that, it’s the new enemy,” Biden said.

Not only is COVID-19 a virus that’s been around for years now, therefore not making it a “new enemy,” but it’s also not the only thing plaguing voters’ lives or minds. As a matter of fact, while Biden parades around the Capitol encouraging Democrats to abolish the filibuster and legalize illegal voting practices, he’s failing to address the ongoing Southern border crisis, empty shelves, and rising urban crime.

2. Wages Are Up

Early in his speech, Biden claimed that American wages are up. What he failed to address is that real wages have decreased most of the months he’s been in office. Even in months when wages were up, Americans were forced to dig deeper in their pockets to cover their climbing gas, energy, and grocery bills.

3. Biden Created Jobs

Biden tried to circumvent the nation’s economic turmoil by claiming that he created more jobs to stimulate the economy. He ignored, however, the role the government played in creating the recession that caused job loss in the first place. And on the role his own administration played in lining the pockets of Americans with federal cash, Biden was mum.

4. The Supply Chain Crisis Isn’t That Bad

Biden hardly addressed the ongoing supply chain crisis, leading to the often popular #bareshelvesBiden hashtag, and the nation’s rising inflation which continues to plague voters’ lives as they begin considering who to vote for in the 2022 midterms.

The president hinted that the “empty shelves being shown on television” were misleading but even he admitted that they are “a few [percentage] points below what it was before the pandemic.”

5. Inflation Was Already A Thing Before I Took Office

Biden claimed that inflation was increasing long before he assumed office but as recent reports indicate, inflation in the U.S. surged to 7 percent in December 2021, the highest level since 1982.

6. Republicans Want To Steal Minorities’ Right To Vote

In an effort to promote his campaign to initiate a federal takeover of elections, Biden claimed that Republicans want to take away minorities’ rights to vote.

“No matter how hard they make it for minorities to vote, I think you’re going to see them willing to stand in line and … keep them from being able to vote,” Biden said. “I think you’re gonna see the people they’re trying to keep from being able to show up, showing up and making the sacrifice that needs to make in order to change the law back to what it should be.”

7. Schools Aren’t Closed

“You say we’re not going to go back to closing schools. You said that just moments ago, yet they’re closing in some areas. What do you say to those teachers and principals and parents about school closings?” one reporter asked. “And what can your administration do to help make up for learning loss for students?”

“First of all, I put in perspective the question you asked, very few schools are closing,” Biden claimed. “Over 95 percent are still open.”

Yet, since the rise of Omicron in the U.S., reports of schools closing across the country have also risen leaving working parents desperate for in-person learning once more. Thousands of schools that were scheduled to reopen following Christmas break opted for virtual learning until well into January due to panic over COVID-19 spread.

8. Build Back Better Will Save Americans Money

During the conference, Biden repeated the lie that his Build Back Better legislative package “would actually lower or reduce inflation.”

This falsehood has been debunked numerous times but that didn’t stop the president from claiming that his legislation, which actually costs trillions of dollars, won’t cost taxpayers a dime.

9. White House Reporters Are The Most Informed Americans Of All Time

Biden told the White House press pool that they are “more informed than any group of people in America.”

While the statement will probably score him points with openly partisan press pool members, it’s far from the truth.

For more than a year, corporate media reporters who covered Biden’s rise to the presidency and his subsequent time in the White House have overlooked the administration’s failures to laud the Democrat for being a “moral, decent man.” They’ve wasted their precious Q+As with the president on softball questions framed in a positive light, while also failing to ask key ones. They let Biden ramble and frequently fail to point out the obvious lies lacing his winding answers.

10. I Didn’t Compare My Democrat Colleagues To Racists

Biden denied that he compared Democrat filibuster holdouts Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona to confederate leaders.

“I did not say that they were going to be George Wallace or Bull Connor,” Biden claimed. “I said we’re gonna have a decision in history.”

Just last week, however, Biden asked “Do you want to be the side of Dr. King or George Wallace? Do you want to be the side of John Lewis or Bull Connor? Do you want to be the side of Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis?”

“This is the moment to decide, to defend our elections, to defend our democracy. If you do that you will not be alone,” Biden said.

Democrat Pundit Keith Olbermann Calls On Biden To Resign

OPINION: This article contains commentary which reflects the author’s opinion

January 8, 2022

Even Democrats have become frustrated with Joe Biden and his administration, which has one loud pundit calling for his resignation.

Former ESPN and MSNBC host Keith Olbermann has called on President Bien to resign if he does not fire Attorney General Merrick Garland.

In one of his unhinged rants the pundit laced into the president for, what he believes, is the lack of action against those who were involved in the riot at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

He also demanded that Biden use a provision in the 14th Amendment to prevent Donald Trump from being president again and to remove other Republicans, like Sen. Ted Cruz from their jobs.

“Real leadership from @POTUS in his 1/6 anniversary speech at this hour would be to call on Congress to pass the bill invoking the Insurrection provisions of the 14th Amendment to ban Trump, Gosar, Brooks, Boebert, Cruz and the other traitors from ever again holding public office,” he said on Twitter with the attached video.

“Jan. 6, one year. And what have we done with that year? In essence, nothing. Subpoenas issued, ignored, mocked. Traitors, crooks, sadists, racists, gun fetish psychos, seditionist congressmen, plotters of coup d’etat, still strung out on stupidity, and impunity and ready to do it all over again. And they are not even the real problem. We are,” he said in the video.

“One year gone, and if the midterms only go as badly as midterms usually go, only one year left. And where is the special prosecutor making life a living hell for Bannon, and Miller, Gosar, and Boebert, Jordan and McCarthy, and Trump? Where is the attorney general giving us not a boilerplate speech but indictments? Where is the Homeland Security chief telling us, yes, Jan. 6 was terrorism, the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers are terrorist organizations, and no, you’re not crazy, if you and I stormed the Capitol, we would be met by rubber bullets and tear gas.?” he said.

“And where is the president who is preserving and protecting and defending the Constitution of the United States of America?

“Where is the president who knows that they are not going to change their minds because you govern well? That the Republicans will destroy democracy and, if they take the House, they will impeach you anyway? Where is the president who will fire this wooden statue we call Merrick garland? Where is the president who is not sleepwalking and hiding behind naïve, antiquated cliches about bipartisanship when the other side is trying to kill all of us?” the pundit said.

And then he got even more unhinged.

“Where is the president who knows that the bully understands only fear? Yours and his. And that the only way to stop the bully, to stop the Republicans, to stop the Trumps, to stop the next coup d’etat is to make them fear that they will lose everything they have. Because they have made it clear, America is going to be them, or us. And, g*ddamnit, Joe! It is your job to make sure it is us. And if you don’t see it that way, resign. We need somebody in your chair who realizes that democracy could be dead a year from right now. We want that to be you. but if it isn’t, the rest of us don’t have any more time to wait, or to waste,” he said.

President Biden is guilty of many policy mistakes but one thing he is not guilty of, one thing that Olbermann wants him to do, is prosecuting his political enemies.

That is what despots do in totalitarian regimes, not what we do in the United States.

‘Feels Like Elder Abuse’: Ex-Dem Official Issues Warning About Joe Biden

OPINION: This article contains commentary which reflects the author’s opinion

Democratic Nassau County Executive Laura Curran lost her seat in the red wave that swept across America in November and she’s sounding the alarm about what could happen next.

During an interview on Fox News’ “Watters World,” Curran warned that Joe Biden’s “weakness” could cost the part in the 2022 midterm elections.

Curran said she blamed her surprising loss on Washington elite politics and went on to trash Biden.

Curran said: “Unfortunately, my party, the Democratic Party, just conveys weakness right now. It almost feels like elder abuse with what’s going on with President Biden. He has a hard time putting a sentence together.

“I think everyone gets nervous listening to him talk, he’s going to mess up. What we need always, and especially now, is someone who exudes confidence and competence. Someone who sets a reassuring tone,” she said.

“And we’re not getting that at the top right now, and unfortunately, I think your previous guest, Karl Rove, is absolutely right. I think it’s going to be a bloodbath for the Democrats in the midterms,” she added.

“As a Democrat, I think it’s really important to have a strong, two-party system. I think it’s good for democracy. I don’t think it should be a one-party rule either way, but unfortunately, it seems like we’re giving the Republicans ammunition just to shoot us because we exude this weakness,” she continued.

“People want to be reassured that government is there for them, not telling them what to do, but making sure the roads are in good shape, making sure the sewage is properly run, making sure that public safety is where it should be. That’s what people are expecting. Unfortunately, my party is not delivering this right now,” she said.

Biden’s first year in office has been so tumultuous that a majority of his own voters don’t think he should run for re-election.

After a survey revealed that a majority of voters do not believe Biden will finish his first term in office, a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll found that only a small fraction of the Democrats want Biden to run again in 2024.

“Perhaps, as a result, just 38 percent of 2020 Biden voters say they want him to run for reelection. A full 30 percent say he should step aside. Those numbers are a little more favorable among Democrats as a whole: 43 percent and 28 percent, respectively. But they’re still fairly soft,” Yahoo reported.

Just 14 percent of independents want Biden to run again.

A new poll reveals that a majority of voters do not believe Joe Biden will finish his first term in office.

According to a poll from Rasmussen Reports, 51% of voters don’t believe Biden will not finish his full four-year term.

Likely voters were asked: “How likely is it that Joe Biden will leave office and be replaced by Kamala Harris before the 2024 election?”

The poll found that 29 percent say it’s “very likely” and 22 percent think it’s “somewhat” likely.

That’s a combined 51% of voters who do not think Biden will make it to 2024 in office.

Rasmussen reported:

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 43% of Likely U.S. Voters think Harris is qualified to assume the duties of the presidency, including 29% who think she is Very Qualified. That’s down from April, when 49% said Harris was qualified to become president.

Now, 55% say Harris is not qualified to assume the duties of the presidency, including 47% who say she is Not At All Qualified.

An explosive new poll reveals that if the election was held today, Donald Trump would defeat Joe Biden.

According to a poll from Rasmussen Reports, 37% said they would vote for Joe Biden and 43% said they would vote for Donald Trump.

The poll also found that 10% of Democrats said they regret their vote in the 2020 Presidential election.

377,000 Yemenis Dead As Biden Goes Back On Promise To End The War

By Robert Inlakesh

According to the United Nations, around 377,000 Yemenis have died since 2015 as a result of the ongoing war which has ripped through the country’s population. Such staggering statistics are partly why constant calls are made for the US President to help end the war. Despite promising to do so, Joe Biden has only made things worse.

Currently, the United Nations puts the estimated Yemen war death toll at 377,000, but has warned that if the conflict is not ended soon that figure could jump up to 1.3 million dead by 2030. A study by ‘Save the Children’, which looked at civilian casualties between 2018-2020, said that at least 25% of those killed were children. This puts the death toll between those years at over 2,300 children. The UN added in that they weren’t able to track all deaths, indicating the toll was much higher. This statistic just looks at direct warfare and doesn’t include those who died from disease, dehydration or lack of food. According to UNICEF, 21 million Yemenis are in need of International Aid11 million of which are children.

At this point, even if the war is solved prior to 2030, the humanitarian catastrophe currently unfolding will still be a hurdle to solve. This is why the United States government must be held accountable for its insidious lies about ending the war (and its undeniable part in beginning it) whilst doing nothing to stop its Saudi ally from escalating tensions even further.

The Special Envoy of the UN’s Secretary-General for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, said, in late December of 2021, that the recent escalation in warfare between Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Ansarallah is the worst in years. He additionally cited the civilian casualties that have come as a result of the Saudi bombing campaign of Yemen’s Capital City Sanaa and of the battle for oil rich Marib.

One very important point to note here is that this war cannot be viewed purely as a “humanitarian crisis”, although this is a fact on the ground, the crisis has been caused by a politically driven conflict. Instead of treating Yemen like a disaster zone after some freak weather event, as mainstream media often attempts to do, we must see it for what it is: a foreign intervention. Saudi Arabia is propping up an unwanted and unsupported President, Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi, which the international community calls “the internationally recognized President”. Yet it is important to note that this so-called “international community” only consists of those willing to fall in line with the agenda of the leading powers, and does not necessarily represent the entire opinion of the world’s respective leaders. Internationally Hadi may be accepted, but domestically he is not — and if you believe in democracy then he has no legitimate right to power.

Hadi’s forces have been consistently accused of fighting side by side with Daesh and Al-Qaeda, all while they have the full weight of the Saudi/US coalition of foreign interventionists behind them and do not represent the interests of Yemeni people. US President Joe Biden, after the democrats had used the Yemen war to attack former President Trump, understood that the war had become unpopular and played on this when taking office.

Biden, who was Vice President when the war was started under the Obama-administration, vowed in early February to end all support for Saudi “offensive actions” and “relevant arms sales”. Yet Biden approved a weapons deal worth over 600 million dollars to the Saudis and is yet to utter a word about Saudi Arabia’s bombardment of countless civilian targets in Yemen’s Sanaa this December.

It also has to be made clear that the United States is directly involved in the war on Yemen. It supplies the Saudis and Emiratis with the weapons, provides logistics, and even uses its own military to strike targets in Yemen. The United States was even revealed to have collaborated with UAE-backed proxy forces in the South of Yemen, in the sustainment and operation of torture chambers.

The blood is currently on Joe Biden’s hands. To add insult to injury he even spoke to the severity of the situation in Yemen, showing that he recognizes the magnitude of the ongoing war and the reasons why it must be ended. Until the US government decides to “turn them into the pariah they are”, to use Biden’s words from 2020, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will not cease to bombard, blockade and loot Yemen into the ground. It is clear that Mohammed Bin Salman has no intention of ending the war by himself, which leaves two options: Ansarallah will eventually take more and more territory as the Saudi-led coalition collectively punishes average Yemenis; or the US steps in to force the conflict to an end. Either way, it will no doubt fall to the people of the world to ensure these governments have answered for the untold suffering and destruction they have collectively wrought in the lives of the Yemeni people.

Joe Biden: Will Run in 2024 If ‘in Good Health,’ and More Likely to If Trump Is GOP Nominee

By Madeleine Hubbard
December 23rd, 2021

Resident Joe Biden on Wednesday said that he will run for reelection if he remains in his current state of health and that if former President Donald Trump runs in 2024 it will increase his “prospect of running.”

Biden was asked about running for office again in an interview with ABC’s David Muir.

“Yes, but look, I’m a great respecter of fate,” the 79-year-old president answered. “Fate has intervened in my life many, many times. If I’m in the health I’m in now — if I’m in good health —then, in fact, I would run again.”

Muir asked Biden if he would run as a “rematch against Donald Trump.”

“You’re trying to tempt me now?” Biden laughed. “Sure. Why would I not run against Donald Trump if he were the nominee? That would increase the prospect of running.”

President Biden was also asked about vaccine mandates for airline travel. He said the requirement is “not necessary,” shooting down hopes of several Democratic lawmakers who requested a vaccine air travel mandate in a letter Monday to the administration.

Social Media Erupts After What Joe Biden Did To His Rescue Dog

Jonathan Davis,
December 21st, 2021

Social media users are blasting President Joe Biden this week after the White House posted a photo of him with a purebred three-month-old German Shepard pup named Commander.

The pup is likely meant to replace the Bidens’ previous German Shepard, Champ, after he died in June, but it’s what the family did to another Shepard, Major, that has social media users in an uproar.

To make room for Commander, the Bidens rehomed Major, a three-year-old rescue dog, forever banishing him from the White House over biting issues, after obtaining him from the Delaware Humane Association in 2018.

Last year, he made headlines as the first shelter dog ever to live in the White House, according to The New York Times. Patrick Carroll, the executive director of the Delaware Humane Association, said at the time that Major “shows the real possibilities for what could happen for all the great dogs who need homes out there.”

As the Western Journal reports:

At first, the explanation was that he was going for some help with an adjustment to living in the presidential mansion.

Michael LaRosa, first lady Jill Biden’s spokesman, said at the time Major was getting “some additional training to help him adjust to life in the White House.”

LaRosa now admits that training was a one-way ticket out of the Bidens’ lives.

As has been common to the Biden White House, someone else was blamed for banishing Major.

“After consulting with dog trainers, animal behaviorists and veterinarians, the first family has decided to follow the experts’ collective recommendation that it would be safest for Major to live in a quieter environment with family friends,” LaRosa claimed in a statement.

“This is not in reaction to any new or specific incident, but rather a decision reached after several months of deliberation as a family and discussions with experts,” he said.

But the first family was lambasted on social media over the banishment of a rescue dog.

“Any man abandoning his dog is an absolute disgrace…but to ditch a dog like Major who clearly needs support and affection is just morally abominable. Yet another Major left at Kabul by Biden it seems,” one user wrote.

“Biden put out this video of his new puppy as a smokescreen because they just got rid of their other German Shepherd that they didn’t train and therefore didn’t trust. I can’t even tell you how irresponsible this is. You don’t get a dog and abandon it just to get another,” commentator Caleb Hull added.

“And a German Shepherd of all breeds? The breed known for its loyalty and devotion to individual people that it’s rarely even going to see in the White House? What the hell,” he added.

“If you don’t have time to raise a dog right you shouldn’t be raising more dogs!!!” wrote Luke Rudkowski.

“BREAKING NEWS: Brandon couldn’t handle one German Shepherd, so he gave it away and got a new German Shepherd puppy, because that’s so much easier?! Also, hard-hitting journalism Katie,” wrote Christina Pushaw, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ communications chief.

Joe Biden Defense of His Son’s Overseas Business Deals Conflicts with Public Evidence

John Solomon
October 5th. 2020

uring one of the many sharp exchanges at last week’s presidential debate, Joe Biden flat out denied his son Hunter had any business relationship with the Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina, the billionaire wife of the late Moscow mayor.

“Why is it, just out of curiosity, the mayor of Moscow’s wife gave your son three and a half million dollars?” President Trump asked during one flash point.

“That is not true,” Biden answered.

“Oh really, he didn’t get three and a half million?” Trump persisted a few second later.

“It’s totally discredited,” the former vice president snapped back. “Totally discredited.”

In fact, Biden’s answer directly conflicts with evidence that the U.S. Senate, the FBI and the U.S. Treasury Department have all gathered.

In their most recent investigative report on Ukraine corruption, the Senate Finance and Homeland Security committees disclosed that Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) that the Treasury Department turned over to Senate investigators show a direct link between Hunter Biden and Baturina.

“Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina, the wife of the former mayor of Moscow,” the Senate report declared, identifying a firm that the younger Biden and his business partner Devon Archer had created in 2013 as the recipient of the 2014 payment.

“On Feb. 14, 2014, Baturina wired $3.5 million to a Rosemont Seneca Thornton LLC (Rosemont Seneca Thornton) bank account for a ‘Consultancy Agreement DD12.02.2014.'” the Senate report said. “Rosemont Seneca Thornton is an investment firm co-founded by Hunter Biden that was incorporated on May 28, 2013 in Wilmington, Del. According to The Financial Times, Rosemont Seneca Thornton is a consortium that consists of Rosemont Seneca Partners and the Thornton Group, a Massachusetts-based firm.”File

HSGAC_Finance_Report_FINAL.pdf

The consulting payment was not only flagged because of its source. Its timing was also suspicious for its proximity to unfolding events in Eastern Europe.

The payment was made four days before the Maidan revolution successfully ousted Viktor Yanukovych, Ukraine’s Russian-friendly president, and less than two weeks before Vladimir Putin sent Russian forces to invade Ukraine’s Crimea region and annex it.

The Treasury reports showed 11 more transactions flowing from Baturina to entities tied to Hunter Biden in 2015.

“Between May 6, 2015 and Dec. 8, 2015, Baturina sent 11 wires in the amount of $391,968.21 to a bank account belonging to BAK USA LLC. Nine of the 11 transactions, totaling $241,797.14 were sent from Baturina’s accounts to a Rosemont Seneca Thornton bank account, which then transferred the money to BAK USA,” the Senate report noted.

“The 11 transactions all listed ‘Loan Agreement’ in the payment details section,” it added. “BAK USA was a startup technology company headquartered in Buffalo, N.Y., that produced tablet computers in cooperation with unnamed Chinese business partners. BAK USA filed for bankruptcy on March 29, 2019, with a reported loss of $39 million.”

Treasury wasn’t the only federal agency to find evidence linking Hunter Biden and Baturina.

Board minutes obtained by the FBI in an unrelated 2017-18 investigation of Archer state that Archer told investors during a 2014 meeting that he had secured upwards of $200 million from Baturina’s real estate businesses in London.

“Mr. Archer further discussed the possible sale of his company and the revenues that might be realized, which he said would be a big liquidity event for him, as well as his connections with Bohai, which he said was sponsored by major banks and institutional investors in China,” according to the minutes.

“He also discussed his client relationship with Yelena Baturina, who he said had invested over $200 million dollars in his various investment funds,” the memo read. “Mr. Archer emphasized that he had ample funding, but that the investors wanted to be efficient.”

You can read those board minutes here:File

 Baturina BIT Board meeting.pdf

Baturina’s office in London did not respond to an email request for comment, nor did lawyers for Hunter Biden or Archer.

Whatever the case, Joe Biden’s outright denial of a financial relationship between his son’s company and Baturina flies directly in the face of documentary evidence, which by the way was gathered by federal agencies during the Obama-Biden era.

Joe Biden’s Son Connected With Russian, Chinese Nationals While Father Was Vice President: Congressional Report

ZACHARY STIEBER
September 23, 2020

The son of former Vice President Joe Biden engaged in millions of dollars in “questionable financial transactions” with associates and foreign individuals, including the wife of the former mayor of Moscow and people with ties to the Chinese Communist Party, according to a new congressional report.

Hunter Biden’s dealings raise conflict of interest concerns as well as concerns about crimes, counterintelligence, and extortion, according to the joint report from the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and Finance Committees.

“The records acquired by the committees show consistent, significant, and extensive financial connections among and between Hunter Biden, James Biden, Sara Biden, Devon Archer, and Chinese nationals connected to the communist regime and PLA [People’s Liberation Army] as well as other foreign nationals with questionable backgrounds,” according to the report, which was released Wednesday.

James Biden is Joe Biden’s brother; Sara Biden is James’s wife; and Archer is one of Hunter Biden’s business partners.

Biden was vice president until 2016. He is now the Democratic presidential nominee.

Finance Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Homeland Security Chairman Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) headed the investigation.

Key findings included learning that George Kent, a former deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, raised concerns to officials in Joe Biden’s office in early 2015 about the perception of a conflict of interest in Hunter Biden being on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian company.

“The presence of Hunter Biden on the Burisma board was very awkward for all U.S. officials pushing an anticorruption agenda in Ukraine,” Kent wrote in an email the next year to colleagues.

The concerns were not addressed, according to the report.

In October 2015, State Department official Amos Hochstein raised concerns with Vice President Biden and Hunter Biden that the Burisma position enabled Russian disinformation efforts and risked undermining U.S. policy in Ukraine, according to the report.

Hunter Biden was serving on Burisma’s board when the company’s owner allegedly paid $7 million to officials working under Ukraine’s prosecutor general to shut the case against the owner. Kent said the bribe was paid in December 2014 and that he reported the allegation to the FBI when he learned about it.

Hunter Biden and Archer received $4 million for being on Burisma’s board. They and other Biden family members also received millions of dollars from foreign nationals with questionable backgrounds, the Senate committees said.

Archer, for instance, received $142,300 from a Kazakhstan national, purportedly for a car, the same day Vice President Biden addressed Ukrainian legislators in Kyiv.

Hunter Biden received $3.5 million from Elena Baturina, the widow of the former mayor of Moscow, and millions of dollars from business transactions with individuals linked to the Chinese Communist Party and the People’s Liberation Army.

Hunter Biden also “paid nonresident women who were nationals of Russia or other Eastern European countries and who appear to be linked to an ‘Eastern European prostitution or human trafficking ring,’” the report stated.

Biden campaign spokesman Andrew Bates said in a statement Wednesday that the investigation took time away from oversight of the federal government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Why? To subsidize a foreign attack against the sovereignty of our elections with taxpayer dollars—an attack founded on a long-disproven, hardcore right-wing conspiracy theory that hinges on Sen. Johnson himself being corrupt and that the senator has now explicitly stated he is attempting to exploit to bail out Donald Trump’s reelection campaign,” Bates said.

The chairmen defended the investigation in recent weeks.

On Wednesday, they wrote that the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee is authorized to study or investigate “the efficiency and economy of operations of all branches of the government, including the possible existence of… corruption or unethical practices… [and] conflicts of interest.” The Senate Finance Committee has jurisdiction over the U.S. government and the Department of Treasury, which includes oversight jurisdiction over potential financial crimes, they added.

Hunter Biden in October 2019 defended his work with Burisma and in China.

“I think that it was poor judgment on my part. I think that it was poor judgment because I don’t believe now when I look back on it—I know that there was—did nothing wrong at all. However, was it poor judgment to be in the middle of something that is … a swamp in many ways? Yeah,” he told ABC News.

“I gave a hook to some very unethical people to act in illegal ways to try to do some harm to my father. That’s where I made the mistake. So I take full responsibility for that. Did I do anything improper? No, not in any way. Not in any way whatsoever.”

During that interview, he changed his answer on whether he discussed his business dealings with his father.Follow Zachary on Twitter: @zackstieber

Wikileaks Posts 137 Documents on Kamala Harris Hours After She Is Named Joe Biden’s Running Mate

Jim Hoft,
August 11th, 2020

Joe Biden chose California Senator Kamala Harris as his Vice President nominee. Politico reported:

Joe Biden has selected Sen. Kamala Harris to be his running mate, elevating a charismatic blue-state senator, former prosecutor and onetime 2020 primary rival who has built a reputation as an unyielding antagonist of the Trump administration.

Harris, the daughter of immigrants from Jamaica and India, was the wire-to-wire frontrunner for Biden’s No. 2 job. Her experience as a battle-tested presidential contender, her efforts leading major law enforcement offices and her political track record of three election wins in California helped her overcome a crowded list of contenders.

Biden also made the announcement on his official Twitter account.

Hours after today’s announcement Wikileaks released 137 documents on Kamala Harris.

Biden and Trump Received Millions from Big Firms That Received PPP Loans Meant for Small Businesses

MARK TAPSCOTT

Individuals working for big law firms and corporations that received Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans meant for small businesses pumped nearly $2 million into former Vice-President Joe Biden’s presidential campaign.

President Donald Trump also benefitted from such contributions, counting more than $1.5 million, according to a July 23 analysis of Small Business Administration (SBA) and federal campaign finance data by opensecrets.org.

“Vital Pharmaceuticals, the company behind Bang Energy drink, got a PPP loan worth at least $5 million in early April as the program doled out its first batch of loans. Last year the company gave $250,000 in corporate money to Trump’s preferred super PAC, America First Action,” opensecrets.org said.

The biggest single chunk of Biden’s haul came from individuals associated with a Florida trial lawyer firm.

“Biden is boosted by Morgan & Morgan, a Florida personal injury law firm whose employees gave $437,000 to his campaign. The firm’s founder hosted an extravagant fundraiser for the former vice president during the early days of his White House bid,” opensecrets.org said.

“Morgan & Morgan, which says it employs more than 500 experienced lawyers, pulled in several PPP loans meant for struggling small businesses. Its Tampa location received a loan worth at least $5 million while its Fort Myers and Jacksonville locations each received loans worth at least $2 million,” the opensecrets.org analysis reported.

Two other trial lawyer firms that got PPP loans and provided large contributions to Democrats were singled out by the opensecrets.org analysis.

“Top lawyers at another Texas-based firm, Baron & Budd, held a fundraiser for Biden last year, and the company’s employees gave $250,000 to Democrats. It received a loan worth at least $2 million,” according to the analysis.

“Another PPP loan of at least $350,000 went to New York personal injury law firm Kramer Dillof Livingston & Moore. Late last year, the firm gave $100,000 from its corporate reserves to Unite the Country, the only super PAC supporting Biden’s presidential bid at the time,” the analysis said.

The big contributions by such firms highlight the fact that congressional Democrats are battling Republicans who seek increased personal liability protections for medical professionals and workers caring for victims of the CCP Virus, also known as the novel coronavirus.

Senate Republicans insist such protection must be included in the new economic recovery bill being negotiated this week on Capitol Hill, but Democrats warn that such a provision would be a deal-killer.

Despite Trump receiving less than Biden from the firms getting PPP money, Republican campaign committees got multiple millions of dollars from individuals linked to those businesses.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) tallied slightly more than $5 million, while the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) received more than $2.5 million. A total of $1.75 million went to the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).

Other notable contributions spotlighted by the opensecrets.org analysis included money going to groups backing candidates and causes of both major political parties.

“The Center for Popular Democracy contributed $113,000 in nonprofit funds to New Florida Majority, a PAC that supported Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) in the Democratic primary,” the analysis said.

“New Orleans transportation company Harvey Gulf International Marine—backed by a loan of more than $5 million—gave $100,000 in corporate funds to Make Louisiana Great Again, a super PAC supporting area Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.),” it said.

The $670 billion PPP program was a Trump initiative for helping Main Street businesses retain as many employees on their payrolls as possible during the national lockdown that began in mid-March and continues today at varying degrees of intensity around the country.

“While many small businesses waited on loans during the program’s rollout, larger companies with access to big banks got loans first,” opensecrets.org said.

“Powerful lobbying firms, hedge funds and real estate companies received aid while tens of thousands of small businesses closed for good.”
