The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has reportedly opened an investigation into Lucky Charms Cereal after hundreds of people have filed reports claiming to have gotten sick after eating it.
Some of the most common side effects that have been reported by consumers include nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting after eating the extremely popular snack, according to hundreds of incident reports submitted online to the food safety website ‘iwaspoisoned.com.’
Following the large wave of reports, the FDA officially opened an investigation of its own this month after the agency had received over 100 reports in addition to the ones submitted online to ‘iwaspoisoned.com.’
While the investigation is still in its early stages, the agency did release a statement earlier this week, stating that it “takes seriously any reports of possible adulteration of a food that may also cause illnesses or injury” and would provide updates when they become available.
Additionally, the number of people who have been affected by the mild conditions after eating Lucky Charms might be even higher than originally thought. According to The Wall Street Journal, “thousands of people” have already reported symptoms like nausea after eating the cereal.
As of right now, even the producers of Lucky Charms have no answers on what could be causing the reports of illnesses, or even if the reports are linked to their cereal at all. The parent company, General Mills, announced it had conducted its own internal review and has not been able to find anything tying the cereal to those who have reported falling sick after eating it.
For the time being, the cause of Leprechaun tummy will just have to be chalked up to being ‘magically suspicious.’
The Biden family international corruption scandal begins to snowball towards a mountain of ‘undeniable’ evidence that the First Family is linked to communist Chinese interests.
As the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, the federal tax investigation into Hunter Biden is “gaining momentum as prosecutors gather information from several of his associates about the sources of his foreign income.” The New York Times recently corroborated the authenticity of the reporting prior to the 2020 election that the Hunter Biden laptop and its records are, indeed, authentic. The Times’ report raised the issue of Hunter Biden’s potential criminal exposure for failing to report his actions as a foreign agent of a government under FARA requirements.
Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) rose on the Senate floor and disclosed new documents that he promised were just a ‘taste’ of what he and his colleague Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) have in store to demonstrate ‘undeniable’ strong links between the Biden family and the Chinese communist government.
“Today, Senator Johnson and I begin a series of speeches on our investigations into the Biden family financial deals,” Senator Grassley said. “We’ll make these presentations with two themes. First, we’ll refute and we’ll dismantle the talking points that the liberal media and our Democrat colleagues pushed onto the American people.”
“Their talking points said that our investigation over the years advanced and spread disinformation,” Grassley continued. “On November 29, 2021; May 11, 2021; March 18, 2021; December 14, 2020; December 10, 2020; October 19, 2020; and December 9, 2020, I came to the Senate floor to rebut those false charges. Now, or at least then, the liberal media and my Democrat colleagues ought to be ashamed of themselves for the outright lies that they peddled about our investigative work.”
“As a result, Senator Johnson and I did what any good investigator would do,” he said. “We gathered even more records to prove all these people wrong, which brings me to the second theme. Senator Johnson and I will produce new records to show additional connections between the Biden family and the communist Chinese regime.”
“Before we get to those records, I’m going to discuss the background of our investigation,” he continued. “We started this investigation last congress. Then, I was Chairman of the Finance Committee, and at that time, Senator Johnson was Chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. It began in August 2019. I started at that time an inquiry into a transaction involving Hunter Biden that was reviewed by the federal government’s Committee on Foreign Investment.”
“On September 23, 2020, Senator Johnson and I released our report,” he added. “On November 18, 2020, we released our supplement to that report. Those reports were based in large part on Obama administration government records and also almost a dozen transcribed interviews of government officials. In both reports, Senator Johnson and I made financial information public that hadn’t ever been known before.”
“Our report exposed extensive financial relationships between Hunter and James Biden and Chinese nationals connected to the communist regime,” he went on. “More precisely, these were Chinese nationals connected to the Chinese government’s military and intelligence service. One of those individuals was a person by the name of Patrick Ho. According to reports, Hunter Biden said of Patrick Ho, quote, ‘I have another New York Times reporter calling about my representation of Patrick Ho.’ Then Hunter Biden says the F-word denoting ‘a spy chief of China who started a company that my partner who is worth $323 billion founded and is now missing.’ End of that quote.”
“We’ll get into more detail with respect to Patrick Ho in future speeches,” Grassley added. “We’ll do the same with Gongwen Dong [CFO of the Kam Fei Group of Hong Kong], another close associate of Hunter Biden who is connected to the Communist regime. Hunter Biden’s reference to, quote, ‘my partner,’ end quote, is an apparent reference to Ye Jianming [former chairman of the Shanghai-based CEFC China Energy]. Yi had connections to the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). Yi had a company called CEFC, which had multiple variations.”
“Today and in future speeches, Senator Johnson and I will simply refer to that company as CEFC,” he said. “Documents show that CEFC’s corporate mission was, quote, ‘to expand cooperation in international energy economy and contribute to national development,’ end of quote. Now let me emphasize that word national in that quote — national development. CEFC existed for the communist state.”
“Indeed, records show that CEFC is dedicated itself to serve China’s national energy strategy, developing national strategic reserves for oil, and now I quote, ‘partnering with centrally administered and state-owned enterprises,’ end of quote,” Grassley continued. “Records prepared by one of Hunter and James Biden’s business associates, a James Gilliar, say the following about this company’s CEFC — quote, ‘at the time China was hungry for crude, but its state-backed companies were having difficulty closing some deals abroad. The optics of China’s state-backed giants marching into a country to buy and extract oil weren’t great for central Asian politicians. This paved the way for private firms like CEFC, which can strike oil deals in Europe and the Middle East, where Chinese state-owned enterprises could bring political liabilities,’ end of quote.”
“Documents also show that CEFC, quote, ‘is building an energy storage and logistic system in Europe,’ end of quote, to connect China, Europe, and the Middle East,” he added. “You may ask why. Plainly, to serve, quote, ‘China’s ambitions to have over seas storage locations connected with world markets,’ end of quote.”
“The document further states that CEFC’s investments and their bank division has investments in the energy sector, quote, ‘which are in tandem with the government’s $4 trillion one belt, one road foreign investment program,’ end of quote,” Grassley said. “So, then CEFC operated under the guise of a private company, but for all intents and purposes, as an arm of the Chinese government.”
“Hunter Biden and James Biden served as a perfect vehicle by which the Chinese communist government could gain inroads here in the United States through CEFC and its affiliates,” he said. “And these inroads were focused on Chinese advancement into the global and U.S. energy sector. Hunter and James Biden were more than happy to go along, of course, for the right price.”
“So, now let’s turn to the first poster which shows bank records that hasn’t been made public before now,” Grassley said while standing in front of a blown-up bank record. “This is a portion of a document that we, meaning Senator Johnson and I, will release in full. The topic of this poster shows a wire transaction, August 4, 2017, from CEFC to Wells Fargo clearing services for $100,000. Now look at the bottom of the poster. This is the underlying data of this transaction. It states, quote, ‘further credit to Owasco,’ end of quote. Owasco is Hunter Biden’s [law] firm.”
“Now, there is no middle man in this transaction,” he added. “This is $100,000 of what is effectively arm of the Chinese communist government direct to Hunter Biden.”
“So, a second question,” he said. “Question to the liberal media and my Democratic colleagues who accused us over the last two years of distributing Russian disinformation. Is this official bank document Russian disinformation?”
“Now, beyond this document, in future speeches, Senator Johnson and I will show you more transfers between and among such companies as CEFC, Northern International Capital [a Hong Kong-based investment company], Hudson West III, Hunter Biden’s Owasco and James Biden’s Lion Hall group. In doing so, please keep in mind the players in this game, Hunter Biden, James Biden, Ye Jianming, Gongwen Dong, Mervyn Yan and Patrick Ho, to name a few. All of these individuals mixed and mingled with related corporate entitites over a period of years with respect to millions of dollars.”
“Now, the next poster,” Grassley said and turned to a record with a number of signatures. “Those connections are illustrated by the second poster which I made public last November. It’s an original bank record with one typographical error in all. Here you have Hunter Biden, Gongwen Dong and Mervyn Yan executing an assignment, an assumption agreement together.”
“So, now a third question to those who accuse us of disseminating ‘Russian disinformation,’ so especially to the liberal media, who are the ones who ought to be policing our government system to make sure that everything is done honest, they shouldn’t have to have members of Congress giving all this information out, but is this official record ‘Russian disinformation’?” he asked.
“In our next speeches we’ll show you more records that haven’t been seen before,” Grassley said. “Records that undeniably show strong links between Biden family and communist China. Today is just a small taste.”
A recent filing by Special Prosecutor John Durham appears to put the crosshairs on one Rodney Joffe, otherwise known as “Tech Executive-1” from the Micheal Sussman indictment, and some of his acquaintances at Georgia Tech. According to Durham, Joffe and his associates exploited internet data from “the Executive Office of the President of the United States” to further their own political agenda.
Durham filed the Government’s Motion to Inquire into Potential Conflicts of Interest in the Micheal Sussman case on February 11th, 2022, and can be read HERE. Sussman, Hillary Clinton’s campaign attorney, was charged with giving false statements to then-FBI General Counsel James Baker regarding the interests he was representing when he pushed the now-debunked Alfa Bank/Trump sham.
The primary basis for this new motion is that Sussman’s current counsel, Latham & Watkins LLP (Latham) could potentially have a conflict of interest due to Latham previously representing Perkins Coie and Mark Elias “in this investigation”. It has been alleged that Latham “likely possesses confidential knowledge about Perkins Coie’s role in, and views concerning, Sussman’s past activities.”
Another conflict might also exist due to Latham representing both the Clinton Campaign and Hillary for America in the Special Counsel’s investigation. Durham has observed that Lathams duties to these former clients “might cause its interests to diverge from those of [Sussman]”. Durham might offer evidence at trial that he’d obtained from the Clinton Campaign and Hillary for America.
Then we have “Tech Executive-1” Rodney Joffe, who exploited proprietary – possibly even classified – data that was provided by DARPA to further their own strategic political attacks, an action that might result in charges. It was eventually confirmed that a couple of former DARPA employees have already given grand jury testimony, which hints that Durham might be following this track.
So John Durham has divulged, at least to an extent, that certain tech experts and contractors (the very same folks who were involved in the Alfa Bank set up) essentially spied on a sitting President. According to Durham, Joffe and his friends at DARPA had come to possess this data as a part of a “sensitive arrangement” with the US government.
The filing suggests that Joffe and his cohorts manipulated this information to further a manufactured narrative that was essentially a smear campaign claiming that Donald Trump and those in his orbit were continuing their “secret backchannels” with Russia. HIllary Clinton really kicked off these claims on Twitter just before the election as a sort of “October Surprise”, this was all then repackaged with the Alfa Bank hoax and given to Micheal Sussman, who then laundered it to the CIA on February 9th, 2017.
Sussman alleged to the CIA that the data showed “Trump and/or his associates were using supposedly rare, Russian-made wireless phones in the vicinity of the White House and other locations.”
John Durham, for his part, identified “no support for these allegations”.
The question remains why Joffe (through Sussman) risked legal exposure to continue pushing these false Trump-Russia allegations before and after the 2016 election. He did this first with the FBI in 2016, and then again with the CIA in 2017.
Was Joffe desperate? Could it be that he was experiencing heavy pressure from those above him? The public can only speculate at this juncture but it seems highly likely that we will see an indictment for Rodney Joffe in the future.
President Donald Trump certainly seems to think that there should be prosecutions and reparations, going so far as to demand them this Saturday, saying that Durham’s latest filing “provides indisputable evidence that my campaign and presidency were spied on by operatives paid by the Hillary Clinton Campaign in an effort to develop a completely fabricated connection to Russia,”.
“This is a scandal far greater in scope and magnitude than Watergate and those who were involved in and knew about this spying operation should be subject to criminal prosecution,” he added. “In a stronger period of time in our country, this crime would have been punishable by death. In addition, reparations should be paid to those in our country who have been damaged by this.”
We’ll have to see where things go from here, the investigation and its indictments seem to be moving at a snail’s pace, but perhaps that’s just the price of being thorough. When you are tasked with uncovering what could be one of the greatest and wide-ranging criminal conspiracies in the history of American politics, it is probably best to be more thorough than expeditious.
A Pennsylvania Court has ruled in the case regarding the state Senate’s investigation into the 2020 Election results in Pennsylvania. The investigation will move forward despite RINOs, Democrats, and Dominion Voting machines protesting the effort.
Per a local far-left publication – Pittsburgh’s Action News 4:
A Pennsylvania court declined Monday to block an entire subpoena to state election officials in what Republican state lawmakers call a “forensic investigation” of 2020’s presidential election, fueled by former President Donald Trump’s … claims that Democrats stole the election.
But the statewide Commonwealth Court that issued the seven-page order also did not immediately greenlight the release of some information that Democratic state Attorney General Josh Shapiro challenged as being protected by privacy laws.
In the unsigned order, the court said state officials did not persuade it that the subpoena issued in September by a Republican-controlled Senate committee had no legitimate legislative purpose. The state, led by its corrupt AG and SoS, are trying to stop this effort from moving forward. They attempted to ask what was the purpose of the investigation, but it is really none of their business because the Senate felt compelled to have the audit performed and have no legal obligation [that we know of] to provide the rationale for the investigation to the state’s corrupt executive groups.
The subpoena had requested a 17 categories of records, much of it public, but also information that the state attorney general’s office said is protected by privacy laws, namely the partial Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers of roughly 9 million registered voters and details about election systems that is barred from public disclosure by federal law.
The court also declined to debate whether the subpoena was issued appropriately under internal Senate rules, saying it would leave that matter to the Senate.
It did not issue a hearing schedule or instructions on how it will handle the release of information potentially protected by privacy laws, including the partial Social Security and driver’s license numbers of roughly 9 million registered voters.
Both sides declared victory.
The Senate’s highest-ranking member, President Pro Tempore Jake Corman, a gubernatorial candidate trying to establish his pro-Trump credentials, said in a statement that the ruling “upholds the General Assembly’s clear legal and constitutional authority to provide oversight of our election system.”
Shapiro, who is also running for governor this year, said in a statement that the court recognized there are serious questions about the vendor hired by the Senate Republicans “to safeguard the private personal information of nine million Pennsylvania voters.”
After attempting to sidetrack the effort in Pennsylvania, the opponents of the investigation began attacking the investigators. This is their next tactic.
The subpoena in Pennsylvania stopped short of requesting ballots and voting machines, as was done in Arizona, until Dush wrote last month to request the digital data from the election computers and hardware used in the 2020 election by Fulton County, a sparsely populated and heavily Republican county.
On Monday, Dominion Voting Systems lost a bid in court to restrict any inspection of its voting machines to a laboratory that has specific credentials, which Envoy Sage does not have.
Dominion Voting Machines also is attempting to insert itself into the court challenges.
As of now, the investigation in PA will move forward on Friday.
Wouldn’t we love to know who her “source” or “sources” were? But never mind for the moment. The story begins:
“U.S. Attorney John Durham is under pressure to wrap up his investigation into the origins of the Russia probe by the end of the summer, but if he doesn’t, he could wait to reveal his findings or initiate prosecutions until after the 2020 presidential election, Fox News has learned
Two sources familiar with Durham’s investigation told Fox News this week that Durham is working expeditiously to try to finish the probe by the end of summer, but that several lines of investigation are not yet complete.
‘He believes it’s critical to do them,’ one source said. ‘He is feeling more pressure to get this done and wrapped up.’
The source also told Fox News that Durham “does not want this to be viewed political,” and the closer it gets to November, Durham could “punt it to after the election.”
Durham does not want his report “to be viewed political”? He must be dreaming. Nothing could be more political. It’s inextricably so, no matter what he says or does or when he does it.
To wit, what Mr. Durham is said to be investigating is whether one or more of our most important law enforcement and intelligence agencies (DOJ, FBI, CIA, State Department and so forth) were highjacked and used illegally to prevent Donald Trump from being elected president and/or for undercutting his presidency and administration after he was.
What in the Sam Hill could be more political than that?
Yes, it would be a crime as well, but a crime for the most obvious and extreme political ends.
And if Durham does “punt” until after the 2020 election, it could become more political still, pushing our society to the edge of civil war and beyond.
Imagine this: Joe Biden wins the election and come January 2021, just before his inauguration, the Durham report comes out. Several major players in the aforementioned government agencies, household names at this point, are indicted.
These indictments go all the way to the top but not quite, leaving Obama and Biden unscathed, at least technically. (I am taking William Barr at his word that the former president and vice president are not being investigated, although it will more than likely be clear that they are not, shall we say, in the clear.)
How does Mr. Durham, or any reasonable person, expect the losers in the election, the tens of millions of Trump supporters, to react then?
With massive justifiable outrage is my guess.
They will do any number of things from refusing to pay taxes to acts of sabotage to taking to the streets in a more militarily organized fashion than anything we are seeing today.
And, for that matter, how could a Joe Biden possibly govern with criminal indictments of his and Obama’s previous administration all around him? Whatever moral authority he had would be gone.
In all, the country would start to disintegrate. You name the way.
No, John Durham had better think twice about “punting” his report until after the election.
Of course, that’s assuming Ms. Singeman’s “sources” are reliable. We have seen many instances where journalists’ sources have not been. The anonymous source is the rotten underbelly of journalism, frequently used for nefarious ends and often is the cause of rewards like a Pulitzer that seem ludicrous months or even weeks later.
I’m hoping this is the case here, but I wonder.
Whatever is true, Mr. Durham, please finish quickly, before the election. You owe it to the American public.
Attorney General William Barr told Fox News anchor Bret Baier in an interview that aired on Tuesday night that he has been “very troubled” by what U.S. Attorney John Durham has uncovered in his criminal investigation into the origins of the Russia investigation.
Barr was tight-lipped about what has been uncovered so far in the criminal investigation and said that the investigation has been “working very aggressively to move forward” despite the coronavirus pandemic, which shut down a lot of the court system.
“I think before the election, I think we’re concerned about the motive force behind the very aggressive investigation that was launched into the Trump campaign without, you know, with a very thin, slender reed as a basis for it,” Barr said. “It seemed that the bureau was sort of spring loaded at the end of July to drive in there and investigate a campaign.”
“But they seem to have ignored all the exculpatory evidence that was building up and continued Pell-mell to push it forward,” Barr continued. “The other area of concern is that after the election, even though they were closing down some of that, as we’ve seen in the Flynn case, and say there’s nothing here, for some reason, they went right back at it, even at a time where the evidentiary support or claim support like the dossier was falling apart. And it’s very hard to understand why they continued to push and even make public testimony that they had an investigation going when it was becoming painfully obvious or should have been obvious to anyone that there was nothing there.”
“For the first time in American history, the police organizations and the national security organizations were used to spy on a campaign and there was no basis for it,” Barr added. “The media largely drove all kinds of sensational claims were being made about the president. That could have affected the election. And then and then later on in his administration, there were actions taken that really appear to be efforts to sabotage his campaign. And that has to be looked at.”
Barr later said that based on what has been called to his attention, he has been “very troubled by” what he has seen.
“As far as I'm concerned, it's a damned shame that a field as potentially dynamic and vital as journalism should be overrun with dullards, bums, and hacks, hag-ridden with myopia, apathy, and complacence, and generally stuck in a bog of stagnant mediocrity.” -Hunter Thompson
