Your Tax Dollars at Work: Ukrainian Officials Keep Getting Caught Fleeing Country with Suitcases Full of Cash and Euros

The US Senate passed a bipartisan $1.5 trillion bill on March 10th that included $13.6 billion in aid to Ukraine.

Chuck Schumer touted the aid to Ukraine and pointed to it as a pressing reason for the Senate to quickly pass the massive $1.5 trillion spending bill. This was the same week that inflation hit 7.9% in the US — the highest inflation rate in 40 years.

So where is the money going? Does anyone know? Does anyone care?

Here’s one answer.

And she’s not the only one.

Another Ukrainian diplomat tried to flee Ukraine with 68,000€, $140,000, 12kg gold, 13.8kg gold jewelry and a large number of cigarettes.

Only 20% of Dem Staffers Believe Pelosi, Schumer Should Remain Party Leaders After Midterms

Martin Walsh
January 31, 2022

A new poll reveals that only 20 percent of Democratic Capitol Hill staffers believe that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer should remain as leaders of the party after the 2022 midterm elections.

In a survey from Punchbowl News, senior staffers on Capitol Hill anonymously revealed that aides from both parties were open to a change in leadership.

The poll found that a whopping 62 percent of Democratic staffers said Democratic leadership should change no matter the outcome of the midterms.

The survey found:

Another 17 percent said Democratic leadership should only be switched if Democrats do poorly in the midterms.

And finally, 20 percent said Pelosi and Schumer should stay.

That compares to 28 percent of Republican aides who said the party’s leaders – House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell – should be replaced regardless of the GOP’s performance in the midterms.

Republicans need a net gain of 5 seats to regain the House majority in the midterms next November.

House Democrats and senior members are pressing rank-and-file members who have announced they will step down this year ahead of what is expected to be a brutal midterm election cycle for the party to stay in their races no matter how stiff the political headwinds.

Members who have announced they will step down are being asked to run for reelection as Democrats hope to stave off what many expect to be a major Republican wave as Joe Biden’s approval ratings continue to tank and Kamala Harris remains equally unpopular amid rising inflation, a chaotic border, and foreign policy crises.

“I talked to him a couple of weeks ago, and I said, ‘Please reconsider.’ Nobody had joy when Ron Kind announced he was not going to run,” Missouri Democrat Rep. Emanuel Cleaver said.

Meanwhile, Rep. Lou Correa (D-Calif.) also said he has spoken with several Democrats asking them to rethink their retirement decisions, though he added that none of them planned to reconsider.

Correa said he spoke to several members about rethinking their retirement announcements, though none would reconsider. “It’s clear by the time they announce that they made their decision,” he said.

He blamed the hyperpartisan climate on Capitol Hill, but in fact, most retirements that occur ahead of midterm elections come from members of the party expected to lose control of one or both chambers.

“Most of them think it’s just too much battle up here,” Correa said. “I mean, I asked myself the same thing three weeks ago. Do I run for reelection?”

“That wouldn’t surprise me if that’s the kind of thing that’s happening,” a House Democrat aide said. “It’s also the perspective of [Democratic National Congressional Committee Chair Sean Patrick Maloney] or whoever else is making those asks that if they’re fans of those people and they had success, it makes total sense that they’d want them to stick around.”

Some far-left Democrats are planning on targeting other members of their party who they believe are not left-wing enough.

“We need strong progressives in Congress to have some sort of counterweight and leverage against the conservative, corporate-backed Democrats who are an obstacle to delivering results,” said Waleed Shaheed, a spokesperson for the left-wing group called Justice Democrats.

Ghislaine Maxwell Trial Day 1: Biden/Schumer Appointed Judge Blocks “Sensational and Impure” Information from Reaching the Public

While Americans around the country argue among themselves over just about everything, a trial that (if properly executed) could have worldwide implications is off to a questionable start. United States District Judge Alison Nathan is presiding over the Ghislaine Maxwell trial and has granted Maxwell’s request that evidence in this trial be redacted to hide “sensational and impure information”.

The six week trial of British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell begins today in New York City with opening arguments in the long-anticipated case expected this afternoon, following a slight delay due to “issues” with the two members of the jury. Maxwell, 59, faces charges related to her alleged involvement in financier Jeffery Epstein’s sex and trafficking crimes. Maxwell, who spent decades brushing shoulders with British Royals and US Presidents, is accused of recruiting and grooming underage girls for the late financier to sexually abused by Epstein himself as well as his powerful friends between 1994 and 2004.

The question that seems to be on the minds of those who are following this trial is whether or not the redacted information is being suppressed for the good of the general public or to protect a ruling class.

Upon being sworn in, US District Judge Alison Nathan made it a point to remind her hand selected jury that they must decide the verdict of the case solely on the evidence provided in the courtroom.

The corporate media, who scavenged every divisive morsel from the dead horse that was the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, seem to be uncharacteristically silent on what is quite possibly the trial of the century. This behavior is leading many to wonder if any information gleaned throughout this trial will see the light of day. Thus far, with a fresh and new Biden appointed Judge on the case, the outlook is bleak.

According to Reuters, the Biden appointee Alison Nathan will be required to question more than 200 prospective jurors. Nathan is married to a New York University Law School professor, Meg Satterthwaite. Establishment Senator Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., recommended Nathan for the nomination.

Alison Nathan was appointed to the federal bench by former President Barack Obama in 2011. Prior to serving as a federal judge, she clerked for the late Supreme Court Justice Paul Stevens, worked as counsel for the attorney general of New York, and was an associate White House counsel and special assistant for Obama, which has her two degrees of separation (if that) from those who are implicated by Epstein’s little black book.

Sarah Ransom – one of several women to have accused Epstein and Maxwell of abuse – was seen arriving at the courthouse this morning, and was quoted as saying “I thought this day would never come”.

‘Africans Are Not Children’: Democrats Face Backlash From Black Voices Over Political Stunt

Ryan Saavedra,
June, 9th 2020

Democrats faced intense backlash on Monday over a political stunt that they pulled in an attempt to show solidarity with the black community over death of George Floyd.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY), and other top Democrats took at knee at Capitol Hill while wearing Kente cloth, which, as noted by The Washington Post, “comes from Ghana, where people wear it to show patriotism or celebrate a special occasion.”

The photo-op moment for Democrats quickly went viral online — but not in a good way, as numerous people from the black community mocked and criticized Democrats for their political stunt.

Army combat veteran Jeffrey A Dove Jr., a Republican running in Virginia’s 10th Congressional District, responded: “Does wearing kente cloth and taking a knee mean you are all of a sudden ‘down with the struggle’? This is why people hate disingenuous politicians. Speaker Pelosi was there for the 94 crime bill. She is part of the problem.”

Washington Post Global Opinions Editor Karen Attiah responded: “I look at this and think, who is the audience for this performance? Why was this necessary?”

Pro-life advocate Obianuju Ekeocha released a video on Twitter condemning the Democrats for “ignorantly using the Kente fabric as a prop in their virtue signaling.”

“I was just looking online today like most of you and what did I see? A bunch of Democrat politicians kneeling down, of which I have nothing to say about that because I am not an American, however, they were all having around their necks this colorful fabric which I’m sure they put around their necks as some kind of mark or show of unity or solidarity with black people,” Ekeocha said. “So, in other words, they put in for the Kente material or this colorful fabric they had around their necks as some kind of placating sign or symbol to show that they are not racist and they are together with black people.”

“Excuse me, dear Democrats, in your tokenism, you didn’t wait to find out that this thing that you’re hanging around your neck is not just some African uniform, it’s actually the Kente material,” Ekeocha continued. “The Kente belongs to the Ghanaian people, mainly the Ashanti Tribe. Excuse me, Democrats. Don’t treat Africans like we’re children. These fabrics and these colorful things that we have within our culture and tradition, they all mean something to us. I know you look at us and you say, ‘oh Africans are so cute in all your colorful dresses.’”

“Well, some of those dresses and patterns and colors and fabrics actually do mean something to us,” Ekeocha added. “Some of them belong to ancient tribes and mean something to them. So why are you using it your own show of non-racism or your own show of virtue? Why are you using the Kente material to signal your virtue? Stop it. We are not children. Africans are not children. And leave our tradition and our culture to us and if you don’t know much about it, ask somebody. I’m sure there would have been something else you could have done to show your solidarity with black people instead of taking the Kente material and making a little show of it.”

“I know we are in unexpected times and anything is possible but listen man I did not have ‘Pelosi in Kente cloth’ on the bingo card,” GEN editor Hanif Abdurraqib wrote. “I was so certain that picture wasn’t real at first that I didn’t even bother to look for proof in either direction. I just mumbled ‘damn people on here are getting real good at photoshop’ and kept moving along.”

Left-wing writer Roxane Gay wrote: “I am not sure what’s funnier, those ridiculous politicians wearing kente cloth or Cory Booker smartly opting out of that absurd performance.”

Another commentator wrote: “I’m Black and I don’t even own that thing on their necks that supposedly represents Blackness. Also, I hate how Democrats always pretend that they have never had a chance to fix USA when they’ve been in government too.”
