The looming November presidential election will not delay a report from U.S. Attorney John Durham, Attorney General William Barr told lawmakers in Washington this week.
“I will be very careful. I know what Justice Department policy is,” Barr said while appearing Tuesday before the House Judiciary Committee. “Any report will be, in my judgment, not one that is covered by the policy and would disrupt the election.”
The policy in question is informal guidance not to take action that could be viewed as influencing elections. Barr in a memo (pdf) in February said the department “must exercise particular care regarding sensitive investigations and prosecutions … especially in an election year.”
Rep. Debbie Murcasel-Powell (D-Fla.), a member of the Judiciary Committee, tried getting Barr to commit to not releasing the report because of the upcoming election.
“No,” Barr responded. Asked again, he added: “No. I will be very careful.”
“We’re not going to interfere—in fact, I’ve made it clear that we’re not going to tolerate interference,” Barr told the lawmaker.
Durham is probing the origins of the FBI’s investigation into possible links between President Donald Trump’s campaign and Russian actors, a probe boosted by unsubstantiated information compiled by a former British spy who was paid by the Democratic National Committee and Trump’s rival, Hillary Clinton.
White House chief of staff Mark Meadows said recently during an appearance on Fox News that criminal charges will come out of the investigation.
“I know I expect indictments based on the evidence I’ve seen,” he said, adding, “It’s all starting to unravel, and I tell you, it’s time that people go to jail and people are indicted.”
Barr has said he doesn’t expert the investigation to directly lead to former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden, who is now running for president. But Americans will recognize some of the names linked to the probe, Barr teased last month.
Later in June, Barr said Durham is “pressing ahead as hard as he can” amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I expect that we will have some developments, hopefully before the end of the summer,” the attorney general said on Fox.
The lack of visible progress has frustrated some Trump allies.
“It’s been slow,” Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) told Barr. “I think the Durham investigation is something most of us were waiting for.”
The attorney general declined to give any details on the probe. “I cannot get into that,” he said.
Janita Kan and Isabel Van Brugen contributed to this report.
Attorney General William Barr told Fox News anchor Bret Baier in an interview that aired on Tuesday night that he has been “very troubled” by what U.S. Attorney John Durham has uncovered in his criminal investigation into the origins of the Russia investigation.
Barr was tight-lipped about what has been uncovered so far in the criminal investigation and said that the investigation has been “working very aggressively to move forward” despite the coronavirus pandemic, which shut down a lot of the court system.
“I think before the election, I think we’re concerned about the motive force behind the very aggressive investigation that was launched into the Trump campaign without, you know, with a very thin, slender reed as a basis for it,” Barr said. “It seemed that the bureau was sort of spring loaded at the end of July to drive in there and investigate a campaign.”
“But they seem to have ignored all the exculpatory evidence that was building up and continued Pell-mell to push it forward,” Barr continued. “The other area of concern is that after the election, even though they were closing down some of that, as we’ve seen in the Flynn case, and say there’s nothing here, for some reason, they went right back at it, even at a time where the evidentiary support or claim support like the dossier was falling apart. And it’s very hard to understand why they continued to push and even make public testimony that they had an investigation going when it was becoming painfully obvious or should have been obvious to anyone that there was nothing there.”
“For the first time in American history, the police organizations and the national security organizations were used to spy on a campaign and there was no basis for it,” Barr added. “The media largely drove all kinds of sensational claims were being made about the president. That could have affected the election. And then and then later on in his administration, there were actions taken that really appear to be efforts to sabotage his campaign. And that has to be looked at.”
Barr later said that based on what has been called to his attention, he has been “very troubled by” what he has seen.
The panic is real and palpable this week as attacks against the “patriots” increase from all directions. Last week we reported that AG William Barr was coming under heavy fire from a wide range of talking heads and frightened political figures, this week the fearful outrage has only intensified. Maxine Waters took to twitter to lend her voice to the chorus of creep-state assets casting shade at the Attorney General:
So they (deep-state) are following their usual playbook, next we see them activate their newsrags and mouthpieces:
So 2’000 former employees of the DOJ are calling for Barr to resign… this is classic narrative control, I’ll explain why this is manipulative. First we know that the “patriots” claim to have been “cleaning house” these past 3 years, removing the decades worth of embedded deep-state assets and gate keepers. This would make it incredibly easy to round up 2’000 disgruntled ex-employee’s willing to say whatever the playbook dictates. Since William Barr is the person in position of holding these people accountable who have for years thought themselves above the law, it only makes sense that they would be attacking him from every angle.
They wouldn’t want to spin the truth in a way that specifically benefits the financial Elite and their agendas, would they? Everybody in the corporate media game plays by the rules, right? Let’s not forget the wisened words of the late David Rockefeller:
“We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine, and other great publications (the Mainstream/Mass-Media) whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during these years.
But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government.
The supernational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable
to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.”
Once the mockingbird media assets have been deployed they typically activate Hollywood next, which has long been a tool for social conditioning and predictive programing. They’ve not only encouraged Celebrity Worship but have made it a staple of western society, hoping that you’ll “follow the stars” to think and live the same way they do. Like clockwork we had Alyssa Milano, Rosie O’Donnell, John Liguizamo, and Mark Ruffalo simultaneously attack the AG on twitter (echo chamber) and promoting this petition to force Barr to resign.
Next we have Wapo (who have historically been a media asset of the see-eye-aye) running this story about Barr threatening to quit due to the President tweeting about ongoing investigations. This seems like optics to make it seem like Barr is his own man even though rogue military intelligence claims they are fighting on the same side to hold the deep-state accountable. Another interesting tidbit is that the reporter pushing this story, Matt Zapotosky, was the same guy claiming that the bogus Carter Page FISA evidence didn’t affect the validity of the FISA application, which it in fact did. Is this just bias or is it something more? We see these folks who cover the DOJ as media gatekeepers where if somebody isn’t playing ball they attack. Even if they manage to stop Barr, rest assured there will be another to take his place.
After the attacks on Barr, essentially reducing him to little more than a political lackey to Trump, they decided to move on to the next looming threat: Julianne Assange. IAC/Clinton owned rag The Daily Beast ran a story with the headline “Trump Offered Assange Pardon if he Covered Up Russian Hack” which doesn’t even make sense, the judge dismissed the lawsuit against Trump, wikileaks, and russia last year. This is an attempt to get in front of the story before Juliane Assange’s extradition trial. We know they have plenty to be afraid of in regards to wikileaks and what Assange has to say about the hack. For instance, many believe the late seth Rich handed Assange the server when he caught the DNC rigging the election against Bernie Sanders in favor of Hillary Clinton.
Former US Congresswoman Dana Rohrabacher has actually met with Assange and had this to say:
“There is a lot of misinformation floating out there regarding my meeting with Julian Assange so let me provide some clarity on the matter:
At no time did I talk to President Trump about Julian Assange. Likewise, I was not directed by Trump or anyone else connected with him to meet with Julian Assange. I was on my own fact finding mission at personal expense to find out information I thought was important to our country. I was shocked to find out that no other member of Congress had taken the time in their official or unofficial capacity to interview Julian Assange. At no time did I offer Julian Assange anything from the President because I had not spoken with the President about this issue at all. However, when speaking with Julian Assange, I told him that if he could provide me information and evidence about who actually gave him the DNC emails, I would then call on President Trump to pardon him. At no time did I offer a deal made by the President, nor did I say I was representing the President. Upon my return, I spoke briefly with Gen. Kelly. I told him that Julian Assange would provide information about the purloined DNC emails in exchange for a pardon. No one followed up with me including Gen. Kelly and that was the last discussion I had on this subject with anyone representing Trump or in his Administration.
Even though I wasn’t successful in getting this message through to the President I still call on him to pardon Julian Assange, who is the true whistleblower of our time. Finally, we are all holding our breath waiting for an honest investigation into the murder of Seth Rich.”
The Democratic Debate has been a spectacle, particularly when Elizabeth Warren grilled Bloomberg about having employees sign NDA’s over Sexual harassment and gender discrimination allegations.
No one is doing very well. Elizabeth Warren’s been caught lying, Bloomberg won’t win no matter how much money he throws at it, they’ll never let Bernie get the nomination, and Biden is finished. So how much longer do we have to wait for Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton to announce?
An illusion is currently being propped up, by politicians and the media, in the case against Attorney General William Barr. If you’ve only been following the legacy news outlets, you likely see Barr as a villain, compromised by President Donald Trump and attempting to withhold evidence of collusion in special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.
Yet, if you’ve been reading the information yourself, you’ve likely seen that Barr declassified the Mueller report and withheld only the parts related to grand jury investigations—information he cannot make public without breaking the law. Now, Democrats in Congress are holding Barr in contempt for not breaking the law, and all the talking heads are repeating the same slogan of “treason, obstruction, collusion!”
The propaganda tactic the Democrats and legacy news outlets are using comes straight from the propaganda playbook of Adolf Hitler, who wrote in “Mein Kampf”: “The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly and with unflagging attention. It must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over.”
The effect of these repeated slogans is that Barr is discredited in the minds of those who follow these political figures, news outlets, and talking heads—which ironically were just exposed by Barr and the Mueller report for lying to these same people for close to two years about the now disproven Trump–Russia scandal.
Again, the Democrats are using a tactic from Hitler. “Mein Kampf” states that when there is a change around the points being repeated in the propaganda campaign, “it must not alter the content of what the propaganda is driving at, but in the end must always say the same thing.”
“For instance, a slogan must be presented from different angles, but the end of all remarks must always and immutably be the slogan itself,” he wrote.
This is exactly the tactic they’re using. Democrats and the legacy news outlets have repeated that Trump colluded with Russia and that Trump attempted to obstruct the special counsel investigation. When the Mueller report concluded that Trump neither colluded with Russia nor obstructed the investigation, these same figures continued pushing the same false narratives—and did so by expanding the narratives to include Barr when he exposed their falsehoods.
In other words, they continued using the same slogan (“treason, obstruction, collusion!”), regardless of evidence. Staying true to Hitler’s playbook, the Democrats and legacy news outlets merely presented the slogans from different angles by using them to discredit Barr.
Meanwhile, by discrediting Barr, they’ve also discredited his conclusions on the Mueller report in the minds of their followers—thereby protecting themselves from the fallout to their lies.
Their tactic of discrediting Barr in the public consciousness will also act as an ideological smokescreen going forward. If Barr brings charges against possible crimes committed to create the fake Trump–Russia scandal—or the “Spygate” scandal, in which the Obama administration used the manufactured rumors to spy on the Trump team—the propaganda tactic now being used against Barr will make it appear he’s doing so with partisan intent.
The Art of Deception
The purpose of psychological warfare is to alter the way a person interprets information. To accomplish this, the information doesn’t necessarily need to be altered—just the conclusion that people arrive at.
This is mainly accomplished through the subversion of a target’s “cycle of meaning.” The symbology theory on how people interpret reality, and how groups can manipulate it, is explained in depth in the book “Blood Sacrifices: Violent Non-State Actors and Dark Magico-Religious Activities” by the Terrorism Research Center.
It states, “We, as a species, do not perceive objective reality but, rather, a series of limited, mediated, and interlinked symbolic schemas that we, as individuals, assume to be ‘reality.’”
According to the cycle of meaning, when a person sees an image, the image invokes meaning according to what the person has learned about the image, or the image invokes emotions according to the person’s past experiences. The theory holds that the collective of these experiences constitutes a person’s worldview.
Propagandists look to manipulate this process, using conditioning tactics similar to Ivan Pavlov’s experiments on dogs, in which dogs were conditioned to salivate at the sound of a bell. By associating food with the sound of a bell, the scientist conditioned the dogs to associate the excitement of eating with the sound of a bell. From the standpoint of propaganda, this subverted the dogs’ cycle of meaning to associate that feeling with the symbol of a bell.
This is also how agitation propaganda works. The propagandist intentionally agitates the emotions of a target, then tells the target to associate the emotion with a political issue. The political issue then becomes a symbol that triggers the intended emotional response.
Using this same tactic, Democrats and legacy news outlets have taught their followers to interpret Barr as a symbol of the same emotions they agitated when framing the false Trump–Russia scandal. Rather than admit their lie, they perpetuated it by expanding the slogans they used in this campaign to include Barr.
Thus, through these methods, the propagandists have turned Barr into a symbol of obstruction. The result is that, in the eyes of their followers, anything Barr now does will be interpreted as obstruction. This tactic has allowed the Democrats and legacy news outlets to avoid the fallout of lying about the Trump–Russia scandal, and to continue their deception.
