The Underground Newswire Will Be Undergoing Another Temporary Hiatus

Hey folks,

Ryan here. In case you don’t know who I am, I’m the founder of this hugely popular and culturally significant website Underground Newswire. I am also the Managing editor over at Stillness in the Storm and cofounder/cohost at Vigilant News.

On top of running 2 websites, writing up show notes and filming vigilant news, cold calling congressional candidates for interviews, trying to get a nonprofit up and running, and attending events across the country, I’ve now taken on a side gig writing scripts for an upcoming TV series.

The scriptwriting deal is going to fund the Vigilant News website (which is looking sexy and will be going live in a matter of weeks) and the creation of another show (to be named) which will be more goofy and fun although still informative. All that being said, it is extremely time-consuming writing an entire season of a show with a rapidly approaching deadline, and on top of that, we’ll be in Myrtle Beach with the People’s General Michael Flynn, Clay Clark, Kash Patel, and others between now and the deadline.

So, it pains me to say this, but the Underground Newswire will be on hold until this storm of time-consuming projects and events blows over. Not only that, but Vigilant News will be going down to 2 shows a week TEMPORARILY.

If all goes well we will be back in full swing by mid-June. Of course, if something insane happens between now and then (which seems highly likely considering all of the things happening presently ) then I’ll pop in and make some posts, OR you can check Stillness in the Storm, which will be chugging along unhindered through all of this.

In the meantime, you can still catch Vigilant News over @ Rumble until the website’s finished.

Anywho, that is all. God Bless

Confirmed: Liz Cheney’s J6 Committee Is Now Holding Onto Evidence that FBI Was Running Operatives During the Jan. 6 Protests — WILL THEY LIE ABOUT THIS TOO?

Jim Hoft
Published April 29, 2022

On Thursday afternoon, September 30th, at 3:45 PM Eastern the FBI raided Jeremy Brown’s home and arrested Jeremy. The charge is trespassing. The FBI sent 20 vehicles for his arrest. DHS and Pinellas County law enforcement were also present. The FBI was in Jeremy’s home for 5-and-a-half hours looking for evidence.

The FBI searched his house, RV, and trailer. Then they arrested Jeremy and took him away.

Jeremy’s family contacted The Gateway Pundit the next morning.

** You can support Jeremy Brown’s fundraising effort here.

Jeremy Brown is a Green Beret and former Republican candidate for Congress in Florida’s 14th Congressional District. Brown served in the United States Army from 1992 to 2012 and reached the rank of Special Forces Master Sergeant.

Jeremy Brown NEVER entered the US Capitol on January 6. His actual crime was refusing to be an FBI informant as we describe below.

Not only did Jeremy refuse to work as an FBI informant on January 6th, he went public with photos and audio of the conversations he had with

As we reported months ago, Jeremy Brown refused to be an informant for the dirty FBI — They wanted him to be one of their operatives at the Jan. 6 Trump rallies.

According to an earlier TGP report:

The FBI called Jeremy’s cellphone and asked for a meeting after trying to contact him at his house. Jeremy then met with the FBI agents at a restaurant in Ybor City in December. He told Brandon Gray that 38 seconds into the interview the FBI attempted to recruit him to spy on the Oath Keepers.

Jeremy refused to be an FBI informant so they stormed his home and arrested him on bogus misdemeanor charges months after the Jan. 6 protests.

Jeremy Brown did nothing wrong.

His only “crime” was refusing to work as an informant for the FBI!

* * * * * * * * * *

Jeremy has been confined on a misdemeanor charge for seven months now in a Florida jail.

Recently, Liz Cheney’s January 6 Committee subpoenaed Jeremy Brown’s phone records.

The Gateway Pundit has a copy of the January 6 Committee subpoena to Jeremy Brown.

The subpoena asks for Jeremy’s phone records from November 1, 2020 through January 31, 2021.

According to Brown’s family member, the documents were turned over to the committee by Verizon.

That means Liz Cheney and her January 6 Committee are now holding on to evidence, including call records, of the FBI contacting US veteran Jeremy Brown to work as an operative on January 6 for the deep state.

So will they ever admit they are holding on to proof of the FBI’s role in the January 6 uprising?

Clinton Campaign Last-Minute Bid To Block Evidence in Durham Case Likely to Fail

Jon Dougherty
April 25, 2022

OPINION: This article may contain commentary which reflects the author’s opinion.

Lawyers for former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 campaign filed a last-minute plea last week to block special counsel John Durham from introducing certain evidence during the trial of Michael Sussmann, claiming “attorney-client privilege.”

But the bid to bar the evidence from being admitted is likely to fail, Just the News reported, citing several experts who are observing the case.

“[T]he sweeping requests for confidentiality — including research from former MI6 agent and opposition researcher Christopher Steele — face a high hurdle,” experts said, the outlet reported.

“That’s because the very subjects the Clinton campaign now seeks to protect — such as its now-discredited anti-Trump research — were widely distributed without regard to privilege for years,” the report continued.

The contents of the now-infamous Steele dossier, for instance, were shared with several news reporters, the FBI, and the State Department. Steele himself talked extensively about his 2016 conversations and dealings with the Clinton law firm, its research firm Fusion GPS and the FBI in a British court case

Sussmann shared much of a research project — which turned out to be untrue — alleging a secret communications channel at the Alfa Bank between Trump and the Kremlin.

And several of the Clinton campaign figures gave testimony to Congress that exposed who paid for the research falsely tying Trump to Russia, what was in it and why it was conducted.

Said another way, each of the disclosures to third parties amounted to a waiver of any attorney-client privilege claims, at a minimum.

Several experts and observers of the case who spoke to the outlet thought that it was outrageous, and perhaps even a little desperate, considering that the dossier was always meant to be made public.

“It is clear as a matter of law and legal ethics that legal research intended to be made public is not protected by attorney-client privilege,” Alan Dershowitz, a Harvard Law professor who supported Clinton in 2016 but dismisses her privilege claims now, told Just the News. “Even if it were, any privilege would be waived by testimony given about the research or the product.”

In addition, Kash Patel, a former federal prosecutor who was instrumental in exposing the Russia collusion hoax while serving as chief investigative counsel for the House Intelligence Committee, added that Durham has several options for beating back the belated privilege claims, “including the argument it does not apply in a circumstance where lawyers were passing along false information,” Just the News reported.

“The attorney-client privilege, from my former federal prosecutor days, is eviscerated if you share with a third party,” Patel told the John Solomon Reports podcast. “But what John Durham is saying — he’s coming in over the top and saying, ‘No, no, you can’t hide behind the privilege laws. This is an attempt to block information of an ongoing fraud. You cannot use the attorney-client privilege. There’s a crime-fraud exception.’”

House Judiciary Committee member Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), meanwhile, remarked that the Clinton campaign’s claims of privilege were ridiculous in large part because of all of the times the Russian collusion narrative was shared with third parties. He also said the filing appears to a desperate attempt at delaying the trial of Sussmann, who served as one of the campaign’s lawyers.

“I think their attorneys missed that 15 minutes in ethics class, which tells you that you’ve waived the privilege when you start leaking it or even have somebody present while you’re discussing it,” Biggs told “Just the News, Not Noise” TV show. “That’s not part of the attorney-client relationship.

“I don’t think it’s going to be a winner. I think they’re going to lose on that. And, you know, it’s starting to unravel for them pretty quickly. And they just don’t want the truth to come out,” Biggs said.

Just the News adds: “According to Durham’s team, Sussmann shared the Alfa Bank research with at least two third parties: the FBI in September 2016 and the CIA in February 2017.”

Elon Musk Says He Doesn’t Own a Home and Sleeps in Friends’ Spare Bedrooms

The world’s richest man said he doesn’t own a home and sleeps in his friends’ spare bedrooms for the most part.

In a recent interview with TED’s Chris Anderson, Elon Musk says he has resorted to couch surfing.

“I don’t even own a place right now, I’m literally staying at friends’ places,” explained Musk, whose estimated net worth is $269.5 billion, according to Forbes.

“If I travel to the Bay Area, which is where most of Tesla’s engineering is, I basically rotate through friends’ spare bedrooms,” the father of seven added.

Despite the Tesla and SpaceX founder’s surprising lifestyle, the billionaire tech magnate did reveal the one luxury he indulges in.

When answering a question about the wealth disparity in the US between average Americans and billionaires like himself, Musk said, “For sure, it would be very problematic if I was spending billions of dollars a year in personal consumption, but that is not the case.”

“It’s not as though my personal consumption is high,” he continued, admitting that his private plane is the only exception.

“If I don’t use the plane, then I have less hours to work,” he added.

In June last year, Musk tweeted that his primary residence is a rental from SpaceX, worth $50,000. What’s more, the residence was conveniently near the company’s Texas location. In the tweet, also admitted to owning an “events house” in the Bay Area.

In May 2020, Musk famously tweeted, “I am selling almost all physical possessions. Will own no house.”

Elon Musk said if he travels to the Bay Area, which is where most of Tesla's engineering is, he'll rotate through friends' spare bedrooms.

First Acquittal Given to a Jan. 6 Defendant

Madeleine Hubbard
April 6th, 2022

For the first time, a person has received an acquittal for involvement in the Jan. 6 Capitol breach.

U.S. District Court Judge Trevor McFadden on Wednesday acquitted New Mexico engineer Matthew Martin on four misdemeanor charges after the defendant testified he thought police allowed him into the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, Politico reported.

McFadden said Martin’s assertion was “plausible” based on videos from that day. The judge, a Trump appointee, said prosecutors did not prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.

“People were streaming by, and the officers made no attempt to stop the people,” McFadden said, Politico reported.

Prosecutors argued that Martin should have known he could not enter the Capitol after seeing broken windows and hearing an alarm, but McFadden countered that the crowd’s size and the police’s conduct undermined that argument.

Martin also became the first Jan. 6 defendant to testify in his own case, according to Politico. He said that he believed an officer waved him into the Capitol Rotunda that afternoon.

“I do think the defendant reasonably believed the officers allowed him into the Capitol,” McFadden said, Politico reported.

The judge stressed the officers were “grossly outnumbered” and he was not criticizing them.

“I think they acted responsibly and reasonably throughout,” McFadden said.

Martin “did not shout” when he went inside, the judge said. “He did not raise his flag.”

The case may set an important precedent for other Jan. 6 defendants, who are likely to use Martin’s argument in future cases.

Nonconforming Gays Defy LGBT Lobby Campaign to Stigmatize Fla. Parents’ Rights Bill, Bully Disney

Natalia Mittelstadt
March 11, 2022

As LGBTQ activists are mobilizing with media and celebrity allies to define Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill as the “Don’t Say Gay bill,” politically nonconforming gays are standing up for community rights to shield students in grades K-3 from inculcation with woke sexual and gender identity narratives.

On Tuesday, Florida Democratic state Sen. Gary Farmer of Broward County tweeted a picture of himself with tape over his mouth and the word ‘gay’ written on it.

“Florida’s #DontSayGay bill is a cruel attempt to erase LGBTQ+ children and families in our communities,” Farmer wrote. “I will not back down from fighting to protect children and families in our state from this unwarranted hate! #LetFreeFloridaSayGay.”

Gay conservative commentator Dave Rubin, who recently moved to Florida from California, retweeted the senator’s post on Wednesday.

“Hi Senator,” began the BlazeTV podcast host. “As a new Floridian I’d love to have you on my show to discuss why you want a state employee to talk to a 1st grader about sexuality and then be able to hide that conversation from the child’s parents. Let me know when you’re available!”

On Thursday’s episode of “The Rubin Report” podcast, Rubin criticized the media, Democrats, and celebrities for their characterization of the Parental Rights in Education bill.

“This ‘Don’t Say Gay’ thing — it’s completely ridiculous,” said Rubin. “The media has lied, as they lie about absolutely everything else.”

He played clips of Florida state legislators and a CNN reporter criticizing the bill as anti-LGBT.

Rubin discussed the main features of the bill, including provisions which would:

  • require schools to notify parents of changes to the health or wellbeing of their child;
  • prohibit schools from encouraging the withholding of information from parents about their child’s health unless it may result in abuse;
  • prevent classroom instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity in grades K-3;
  • allow parents to access their child’s student and health records;
  • let parents refuse school healthcare services;
  • and require parental permission for health screenings.

“Imagine saying to a first grader, ‘Talk to me about your feelings about sexual identity, or your gender’ or any of that stuff,” Rubin said. “It’s absolutely psychotic, we all know it is, but the media just lies and lies about everything.”

Retweeting “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill’s tweet repeating the word ‘gay’ multiple times with a rainbow emoji, Rubin responded with a clip from his podcast explaining the bill, saying, “Here’s what’s actually in the bill, Mark. PS: The Force is weak with you.”

The pro-LGBT Log Cabin Republicans celebrated the passage of the bill. “This is a victory for parents rights in their kids’ education and a loss for the media and the Left, from Biden on down, who spent weeks lying and spreading misinformation about this bill,” President Charles Moran said in a statement Tuesday. “There is nothing ‘anti-gay’ about prohibiting Leftist teachers from indoctrinating children as young as five with sexual and gender identity theories in the classroom. Democrats know they are on track to lose power in November and were desperate to change the subject to a culture war built on a lie.

“Log Cabin is proud to have supported this bill and worked with our partners in the state legislature to get it over the finish line, and we will continue to support common sense efforts to remove Woke ideology from the classroom and strengthen parents rights in education.”

#WalkAway campaign founder Brandon Straka, a gay former liberal, took aim at what he views as the LGBT lobby’s misrepresentation of the bill. “The despicable liars who control & profit from the LGBT Oppression Industry have named a FL bill the ‘#DontSayGay’ Bill,” he tweeted, “knowing most LGBT ppl will never read it.”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) was confronted by a journalist on Monday who noted that critics called the bill the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

“Does it say that in the bill?” the governor fired back. “I’m asking you to tell me what’s in the bill because you are pushing false narratives. It doesn’t matter what critics say.”

When the journalist claimed that the bill bans classroom instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity, DeSantis noted that it was for young children.

“The idea that you wouldn’t be honest about that, and tell people what it actually says, it’s why people don’t trust people like you because you peddle false narratives,” he said. “And so we disabuse you of those narratives. And we’re gonna make sure that parents are able to send their kid to kindergarten without having some of this stuff injected into their school curriculum.”

The Walt Disney Company, which employs thousands of workers in Florida at its Orlando resort, initially declined to take a stance on the bill, but has since reversed itself after facing left-wing backlash.

Disney CEO Bob Chapek had a call with DeSantis on Wednesday regarding the bill and plans to meet with the governor to discuss his concerns, according to The Los Angeles Times.

Chapek announced Wednesday that Disney was pledging $5 million to the Human Rights Campaign and other LGBT rights groups. However, the lobbying organization rejected the donation, condemning the entertainment company’s initial neutrality on the bill as a “regrettable” choice “to stay silent amid political attacks against LGBTQ+ families in Florida,” reported show business bible Variety, embracing LGBTQ activists’ pejorative label for the legislation.

Former acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell tweeted on Wednesday, “Why is Bob Chapek from @WaltDisneyCo advocating for teaching kindergarteners sex education?”

Mainstream Mum on Neo-Nazi Faction in Ukraine

Ryan DeLarme
February 28th, 2022

Though we in the west can only speculate on his true motives when Vladimir Putin said that he was targeting “Nazis” he was likely referring to the Azov Battalion, a group the western press is either oblivious of or willfully neglecting.

Not many Americans are aware of the Azov Battalion. Interestingly enough, NBC was apparently unaware of this group when it aired on February 14th that preparations were being made for a Russian attack., promoting the Azov Battalion as an example in their report. Those in the know caught the error immediately:

As per the World Socialist Website:

In a news broadcast Monday evening, NBC’s chief foreign policy correspondent Richard Engel told viewers how “some communities” in Ukraine are preparing for a war with Russia by “taking matters into their own hands.”

The report showed Ukrainian soldiers delivering “basic training for the whole family,” “first aid” and “weapons training” to a small group of Mariupol residents, including children and the elderly. One of them, 79-year-old Valentyna Konstantynovska, wielding an AK-47, was made the face of “Ukrainian resistance” by the world’s newspapers.

Engel left out of his account the fact that the military formation providing Konstantynovska’s training was the neo-Nazi Azov Battalion, clearly identifiable by its Wolfsangel insignia used by Hitler’s SS in the Second World War.

Below is NBC’s video of the Azov Battalion shared in the tweet.

Members of this group were recognized at the US Embassy in Ukraine in 2014.  The group purportedly is violent, particularly against groups like transvestites, gypsies, and immigrants.

Guess who has ties to this group? None other than everyone’s favorite, stalwart president; Joe Biden.

It’s not some well-kept secret that Biden has “friends” in Ukraine, and not all of them are exemplary individuals. Among them is the Azov Battalion, the very same neo-Nazi group associated with previously mentioned violent atrocities against immigrants, gypsies, and transvestites in Ukraine.

Unfortunately for the Barrack O’Biden regime, there appears to be damning evidence of their relationship with this Nazi group. They were photographed recognizing the group at the US Embassy in Ukraine back in 2014, when they were alleged to be installing their own regime.

This group is also connected with the former leader of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, who has been accused of being an installed puppet.

This group has rallied in the streets of Kyiv and raised their Nazi flags there. One particularly violent member of the group is one Maxim Yarosh.

Yarosh was shown to have been close enough to the former Obama-approved leader Poroshenko to share a flight with him from South America to Europe. According to Gateway Pundit, Yarosh is said to:

“get his kicks out of assaulting immigrants, gypsies, and transvestites in Ukraine.  He has filmed himself during his assaults and takes pride in beating these innocents.”

Here is a video showing Maxim Yarosh assaulting a woman in Ukraine starting at the 2:40 mark (WARNING VIOLENT).

It gets weirder, these Ukrainian neo-Nazis were also spotted at the US Capitol on Jan 6. These individuals have never been discussed or subpoenaed by the sham January 6th investigation.

This is just one more object of intrigue on the pile of reasons why we should take a deeper look at the Biden family’s suspicious ties to Ukraine.

US Embassy Removes Ukrainian BioLabs PDFs from Website— Still Has the Documents

Justin Deschamps
February 26th, 2022

EDITORS NOTE: This article contains the author’s speculation.

Days after Twitter suspended an account for the high crime of accurately reporting that BioLab facilities in Ukraine match up with Russian targets in their ongoing operations, the US Embassy in Ukraine appears to have scrubbed various PDF fact sheets and documents from their official site.

The documents removed confirmed that, despite the fake news reported by Politifact, there are indeed Biolabs in Ukraine—at least there were.

Politifact, and several other mainstream media outlets, have attempted to debunk the claim that the US and Ukraine were working together to advance mutual interest in the domain of bioweapons production, saying that the facilities are part of the U.S. Department of Defense Cooperative Threat Reduction Program. In short, while the program identifies, collects, secures, and develops treatments for pathogens—according to official statements on the US Embassy site, these programs are not involved in bioweapons manufacturing.

However, these assurances fall on deaf ears given the fact Fauci et al, who initially and repeatedly claimed there was no gain-of-function research at Wuhan Institute of Virology, were proven to be wrong. Instead of owning up to the fact gain-of-function research was indeed conducted in Wuhan, Fauci and his partners in the media simply redefined the term.

But, of course, “a rose by any other name would smell as sweet”. Meaning, whether or not officials admit to gain-of-function research, if it was being conducted there, it was taking place. Changing the name doesn’t change the reality. The same is true for US Biolabs in Ukraine.

While it is unclear if these labs were indeed conducting gain-of-function research, it is admitted that these facilities were securing biological materials that could most definitely be used in gain-of-function research. Despite the fact the mainstream media continues to assert otherwise, they have repeatedly failed to provide demonstrable evidence for their debunking claims. And therefore, the theory that Ukraine was, in fact, working with its US partners in bioweapons research is still on the table.

To add to the case made above, it was recently discovered that the US Embassy scrubbed several PDF fact sheets from their website. The links to the right of the linked website are all broken.

Thankfully an archive was made.

Here is a post on Gab made by @IamTHE3percent detailing the situation.

US Embassy just removed all their Ukraine Bioweapon lab documents from the website.

Just in the last day they removed all the PDF files from the embassy website here

The good news is they are still archived

These labs are co-run by Fauci’s EcoHealth Alliance and rumor is Russia’s entire military operation right now is unofficially to either secure and/or destroy these labs and gather evidence.

There’s a second archive here:

This is what one of the documents states:

The Electronic Integrated Disease Surveillance System (EIDSS) is a software system which is designed to strengthen monitoring and prevention of human and animal diseases within the One Health concept, and facilitate compliance of International Health Regulations (IHR) 2005. Key system modules include Human Cases module, Vector Surveillance module, Laboratory module, Outbreak module, Administrative module, and Analysis, Visualization & Report (AVR) module with Geographic Information System (GIS) capabilities. EIDSS manages case data, case plus disease specific investigation, aggregate data with corresponding sample, and laboratory data linked to cases. The system collects and distributes data, notifies on the events in near real-time, provides access from desktop, web and mobile devices, which allows it to link together different levels and ministries of a national disease surveillance network in a secure way. EIDSS is customizable for each participating country to hold relevant content: diseases list, specific reports, disease-specific investigation forms, among others.

And here’s another:

The Pathogen Asset Control System (PACS) is an electronic system for accounting, management, and control of biological agents. The application is designed to monitor the reception, transfer, movement, and destruction of agents, as well as other actions performed with biological materials. The system allows tracking materials of any kind. Each item in the repository is marked with a unique barcode label. The barcode technology using a barcode scanner allows fast and error-free data input and provides an extra level of pathogen asset tracking security. With the help of barcode technology, the repository process is fast, convenient, and secure. PACS offers configurable access rights and a user management system. Also, it allows users to produce a variety of custom reports.

Is it possible that some sort of cover-up is taking place?

Plausible deniability is a term that describes the tactic of ensuring any nefarious activity can be reasonably denied, assuming a readily available cover exists. This cover can be invoked upon interrogation of actors who are in the know.

Of course, the mainstream media would have you believe that there are no such things as cover-ups, at least none that involve globalists and plandemics. But war and conflicts almost always result in corrupt actors “not letting a good crisis go to waste”, like taking the opportunity to burn documents and tie up loose ends that might expose them later.

Case in point here’s alleged footage of documents being burned in Ukraine.

Biden’s Lawless WH: Energy Sec Granholm Failed to Report $240,000 Worth of Stock Trades for Months

C. Douglas Golden, The Western Journal
January 24th, 2022

When Joe Biden was running for president, he promised Americans a transparent administration in the White House. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm seems to be one of many who haven’t gotten the message.

According to a Friday report from Business Insider, Granholm was the latest of many politicians who were found to have violated the STOCK Act, a law that stipulates federal officials, lawmakers, their staff and close relatives must report stock and commodity trades within a certain period.

Granholm is far from the only one involved here. At last count, 54 members of Congress were found to be in violation of the act, according to Business Insider’s reporting. (Despite this, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is openly resisting any change to laws regarding how members of Congress may invest.

Between April and October of last year, Granholm sold $240,000 in stock — but only reported the sales to the Office of Government Ethics on Dec. 15 and 16.

The deadline for reporting trades under the STOCK Act is 30 days after an individual is notified or 45 days after the transaction is made.

The energy secretary’s investments involved numerous companies with fingers in the pandemic pie, as well.

“Granholm’s stock sales involved shares of biopharmaceutical firm Gilead Sciences Inc. — a major government contractor and maker of COVID-19 treatment remdesivir — mobility service Uber, and real estate company Redfin,” Business Insider’s Warren Rojas reported.

In her disclosure forms with the Office of Government Ethics, Granholm said she hadn’t been notified of the trades more than 30 days before, according to Business Insider. However, all of the trades occurred over 45 days prior to her disclosure forms — in some cases, months prior.

Zuni Elder Clifford Mahooty has Passed Away

Ryan DeLarme
January 18th, 2022

Another beautiful soul has shed its physical body and returned to the planet. Clifford Mahooty; a Zuni elder, civil engineer, and outspoken advocate of truth, has passed away.

Mahooty was a Zuni Pueblo Indian elder, and a member of the tribal orders of the Kachina Priest hood, Galaxy medicine society, Sun Clan, and wisdom keeper of the Zuni history and spiritual practices. Mahooty was a retired Civil/Environmental Engineer (BSCE-NMSU-1969). He worked for Shell Oil Company and various US government programs for housing under USHUD, DOI-BIA planning design and construction of Indian reservation infrastructures and school projects.

Mahooty served in the US Public Health Service, as a commissioned officer, to provide services to American Indian communities. He served in Oklahoma and Arizona in water, wastewater, and solid waste systems.

Mahooty served as the National Environmental Justice Coordinator, in the DOI-BIA for the 561 federally recognized Indian tribes. He coordinated with various agencies of federal, state and tribal governments to enforce laws and regulations to protect sacred sites, and lands against desecrations, pollution of natural resources, illegal taking of artifacts, burials, and sacred objects. He represented the Indian tribe’s environmental assessments and impact statements.

Mahooty was instrumental in the contracting of federally funded programs, where Indian Nations can administer projects including planning, design, construction of facilities and infrastructure, schools, hospitals, law and order, housing. The law is known as PL-93-638. The Indian Self-Determination and Education Act of 1974.

Mahooty was also a known and beloved member of the greater “truthing” community and will be missed by many.
